100% Not sure about college or unsure where is your life headed, the military is an excellent break to figure things out, travel, get discipline, serve your country, get respect, build confidence, learn skills, get huge amounts of college money, and get benefits for life. It amazes me how many of them are out of step going into the hall! I am a Navy man(corpsman), trained by DI's and we were never allowed to get out of step when we were marching! Has boot camp gotten that lax? That soft? Don't get me wrong, Marine boot camp is still the toughest, for good reason. I spent 18 years with the Marines, and came to really enjoy my years with them (1970-1989), I pt'ed with them , marched with them, and even stood staff duty watches with them even though I didn't have to. The Marines are the best fighting force in the world. First in, last out!
I graduated from boot camp 1975 and by watching these marines I see the difference between the way we drill and these marines no comparison they are out of step ,they don't swing the arms uniformly, they move their heads allover the place these are supposed to be 3rd phase not first phase
