Thanks for the tips and tricks! One item I always have in my SUV is a water purifier. Have access when fishing to water to keep hydrated. Sawyer makes a nice light weight and small filter system.
One of the first things you buy when you get off the plane in Montana or Wyoming is bear spray to take with you when you wade the fabulous rivers in those states . However , you can’t carry it on the plane returning home . Those cans of spray are pretty expensive and you hate to throw them away . I have given them to strangers just arriving in Montana beginning their fishing trip but over time and many trips that represents a pretty good amount of money . Any suggestions ?
Jim, I always check at the airport when I arrive to see if they have any bear spray that has been left by previous visitors. They don't always have it is worth checking.
How does one pack with the Carry-It-All + a sling pack? Do you unpack your Orvis sling pack into your Carry-It-All and then pack the empty sling pack into the carry it all? Then repack everything once you get to the stream? Obviously you're not carrying the Carry-It-All to the river with you, right? Would it be easier just to carry the sling pack as a check pack?
I use a chest pack that can attach to the outside of my main bag. I have an arcteryx bag that works great for mounting my chest pack on the exterior of the bag

@@kentschool10 Good tip. Where do you check at the airport? I'll be coming in this summer.
@@tammieferraro Usually there is a lost and found, or general customer service counter. I always start there.

Ronin, I unpack my sling and load everything into the Carry-It-All, and put the sling in a duffle with clothing.
