I seen alot of type r in sg as sg we have alot of type r and this is one of the cleanest type r and a stock one in fact. I rlly like how julian kept his fd2r stock which makes this car rlly rlly shine and not put some bodykits which can "ruin" the car. If i were the next owner to own his type r, i will keep it as it is. I can really feel julian passion and love of the fd2r and that vtec roar🔥love it
i would actually go for a wrap, at least. Maybe its due to his age or family. The silver paint is so uncle.

Love your civic and indeed its a pain to have to hand it over to a new owner..however ur civic fd2 type r really make me feel in love even more and i really wanna get one seriously! I love the simplicity of this simple and yet sporty of this car even after 15 years! As a owner myself I totally feel you. I can see your sadness in the video 😥 right now I'm in a stage that I have just change the coilovers after just driving with stock suspension for about 26500km since I've got it in 2019. Reason is my back cant take it when even I drive from south to northern part of Malaysia 😅. It's indeed sad to see you letting it go. Anyway I wish you all the best and hopefully you will find a good replacement if you do please do a review so we can see what's your replacement. For me I'm gonna hold it as long as I could within my means after watching your video. Take care
One of the cleanest FD2s I have seen, Julian this chap had maintain such as nice stock looking car.

It is true. I tested my friend FD2. It was fun when vtec kicked in, the only complain I have is the suspension. Cannot tahan the bouncy

Always wondered how much more power I get when I see FD2R on the roads 10 yrs ago.
It will always have a special place in my heart.
This car is definitely special, especially for us Americans who never got the FD2 (at best we received the FA5 Civic Si, which is still a ton of fun to drive. I own a modified one).
To many, this car was the last "true" Type-R. It was the last N/A CTR. FK2, FK8, FL5 are all turbocharged. While those cars certainly outperform the FD2, they don't quite have the same soul or charm as the FD2. Personally I feel this is because of the FD2's engine, it is peak OEM K-series. I say this as someone who has had some seat time in a FL5 and the new Integra-S. They're still fantastic vehicles, but neither of them put as big a smile on my face as older Hondas. Something about that screaming, high RPM engine really stirs my soul. Sadly that chapter of Honda has come to a close. I can only hope the next chapter is just as good. Never forget The Power of Dreams.
FD2 is one hell of a legend alongside the Skyline GT-R R34.

If can go try out the toyota mark x. It has also more than 200hp. Although it cannot rev until 8500rpm, the sound of the V6 will still make one happy too. Your family will appreicaite the car more as mark x suspension is softer. The car also looks good if modded with bodykit. The best part is the depreciation of the car is only between 8k to 10k/yr

But actually I really wanted to know, is this car 5 seater or 4 seater. As you can see, the middle portion there is no seatbeat. Actually insurance register is also as 4 seater only.

Not engraved (which suggests it was done after the molding of the bumper) but rather, it is embossed during the molding process.

I was deciding between the newly launched FD2 and the Aging Euro R back in ‘07. Was either the Silver or the Championship white. I went for the Euro R.

@@GF-mf7ml the next best thing about the euro r is that it turned out that honda decided to discontinue euro r after the cl7. So it means cl7 is last and latest no newer models newer shape would come after it or replaces it.

Just a feedback, maintenance and repair costs are missing from the used car reviews, also how's the car holding up after so many years of usage? Can include this for future used car reviews? It'll be used for potential buyers.
For a sports sedan, it is easy on the wallet when it comes to maintenance especially when you compare to the other jdm legends of its era.

I was contemplating switching my S2000 to FD2R for the added doors and seats. However the presenter said that he's selling it because of family commitments. Given all the pros he mentioned (sportiness, sedan, practicality etc.) I'm wondering what were the areas which fell short for him leading to the sale 🤔
The suspension is a killer. It isnt family friendly.
@@pigmoonk2545 he said he changed coilovers to make it softer so I thought should be ok liao. I'm thinking I'll perhaps get an Evo10 or Kia Stinger instead 🤔

For that matter...those that change out of RE070 makes the car become a pussycat too
Edit: so I sold the S2000 and bought a Kia Stinger. It was an awesome ride. Comfortable, powerful and fast. Not fuel efficient but hey it’s a 3.3TT! I’ve now swapped the Stinger to the FD2R. It’s a night and day change. It’s really not comfortable but it does the whole practicality thing very well and is a lot of fun to drive.
I now understand why Julian sold it… it’s not because it wasn’t a practical saloon as he mentioned. It just wasn’t comfortable. I think he sold it simply out of love for his family ❤

You can indefinitely renew your COE for another 10 years providing you didn’t renew the last one only for 5 years. 10+10+10+… or 10+5 and that’s it.

you cant legally sit in the middle of the backseat cause it don't come with a seatbelt unlike non type R fd. and in the log card it is only 4 passenger including driver. but anyway who cares..
