Maggie and Anita from Sam The Local will take you to visit the locations to where some of your favorite films were shot in Hong Kong!
We start out in Hong Kong’s Central district at the Mid-level escalators. Right over Lyndhurst Terrace is where they filmed the iconic scene between Christian Bale and Morgan Freeman. We show you exactly the segment of the escalators where the conversation took place. Then we highlight Two IFC, the building where Batman BASE jumps in order to capture the mob banker.
We take the MTR across the island to Montane Mansion of Quarry Bay. This is the location where the epic battle between Autobots and Decepticons took place. The courtyard is a popular location for photographers around the world.
From Wan Chai to Sheung Wan, we re-trace the sets where the classic “The World of Suzie Wong” was filmed. The modern day location of the Nam Kok hotel is the Tai Hing building in Sheung Wan, which is located right next to the famous Man Mo Temple. The movie was shot at various locations in Hong Kong. The scene where Holden gets a haircut was shot in Yau Ma Tei.
The opening scene to the instant-classic Infernal Affairs was shot in the Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery in Shatin. The theme of good and evil was established right in the beginning of the movie.
Lastly, we take you all the way across the city to Tuen Mun. Here we reenact the epic “kick me” from Enter the Dragon. The scene was filmed in Tsing Shan Monastery and much of that location remains intact today.
We really hope you enjoyed the video!

Great video. The Bruce Lee part was so good! 我好鍾意李小龍:)
Thanks! Have you checked out the exhibit on Bruce Lee at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum? It's until July 2018.
How about the locations of: "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing"(1955), and "Conrades: Almost A Love Story"(1996). Also locations of films made by John Woo and Johnnie To. Great video
There were a lot of locations we couldn't get to. These were just some of our favorites we wanted to share to start.
The 'statue' in a glass case in the 10 thousand Buddha temple is actually the mummified body of a monk
BTW he was an artist not an architect in Suzie Wong
Great video as always :), my favourite HK movie is probably the one on Initial D, it was set in Japan but filmed by a HK film company. Not only that, it had Edison Chen in it and the dialogue went between Cantonese and Japanese. My favourite game set in HK has to be Sleeping Dogs, Will Yun Lee, Byron Mann, Edison Chen again, Lucy Liu just to name a few actors in it. Shame it is only based on a fraction of HK Island and has no Kowloon, X harbour tunnels etc.
There are so many HK movies! You may have to mix in some Cantonese language ones to see some other scenes in Hong Kong. Always great to see places you recognize!
This is excellent....keep those videos coming. Very nice re-enactment with Bruce Lee. Lol.
+Nestor Rodriguez Glad we could bring you some entertainment. Have you been to any of these spots before?
