Its 50 50 its like doing a brain surgery once you get it wrong the patience dies on the surgical table. The Battery SG is very important to consider before introducing new electrolyte into the battery. Then too much flushing of the battery also hurts the sulphur in the battery that also helps in storing the chemical energy. If you get the SG Level wrong the battery will die because of either high level SG concentration or low level.

Solar doesn't discharge as its an energy generating device. Its your battery that discharges. And for why it discharges fast can be caused by so many factors. Substandard batteries subjected to load equivalent to it's perceived capacity. When this happens battery discharges fast because the advertised amperage is not what is contained in the battery. Failing or weak battery will always discharge fast. Battery not receiving enough charge will deplete fast. Inverter with faulty reversed polarity will also discharge fast. Battery in an enclosed place with no Air when it heats it can also discharge quickly.
