Some of the assets used in this reenactment are not 100 % historically accurate. Il-14 transport plane is represented by B-26. Canberras used here are not recon variants but bomber. These are not mistakes but approximations and there's no need to 'correct' them. Also, I am aware that the word 'lieutenant' is (for some reason) pronounced 'left tenant' in British English and there's no need to comment on that either. Thank you!
I clicked on vampire massacre video and have binged most of your channel to the point I was distracted all day from my work. I aint complaining you know.
If, as I hope, you cover all of the 1956 conflict, including the Anglo-French attacks on Egypt, then things are going to become eventful and complicated. But well done so far!
The plan is to focus primarily on the conflict between Israel and Egypt but as far as technical conditions allow, there will be details of the British and French involvement. By that, I mean primarily the lack of adequate map in War Thunder (and adequate aircraft in DCS).
This war was a watershed in international politics as it showed that the old imperial powers had become ‘has beens’ and it was the USA and he USSR who called the shots. Interestingly, there’s still a lot of people here, in the UK, who still haven’t worked this out yet!
2:25 it's the first Time, except on Book, i see a F84F thunderstreak with David roundels😮 and the registration 1-NX of 1ere ( première) escadre de chasse 😮
This airplane is in Israeli tech tree in War Thunder. I was at first surprised to see it there because I couldn't remember any info on Israel using it. But after researching this conflict, it became clear :)
Great work in this video. Sadly, Egypt keeps a lot of the air war that happened in 1973 as secret But you can find interesting topic in Mansour air battle
@showtime112 Thanks for your coverage and nice note in 1973. Most Israeli aircraft that were shot weren't by EAF but by SAMs F-4 phantom was way superior to mig-19 and mig-21s. That's why it's the first American jet to enter service in EAF after the war
This format is Fantastic and a piece of work i've been longing for for decades! These early ingagements between Egyptian (Arab) and Israeli air forces are a topic that fascinates me! Thank you once again Showtime for your GREAT contents!
EXCELLENT video. ¡¡¡¡¡¡ Thanks for bringing aviation history alive. It is not much known about this Suez Crisis and the air war. The president of US D. Eisenhower was mad as hell against the 3 powers, and A. Eden went into disgrace. During that time also happened the Hungarian Revolution.
Ironically, if the intercept of Field Marshal Amer's flight was successful, the Egyptian Army would have been much better off. He was the head of institutional rot in the Egypt military and even government.
French Aeronaval TBM/ASW Avengers forced the American submarine USS Cutlass to the surface. This was the first submarine to be interdicted since WW2. The US 6th Fleet had been disrupting Anglo French fleet operations as the US disapproved of the entire Suez operation.
FYI, Abdel Hakim Amer was an absolute disaster for Egypt. He was President Nasser's right-hand-man and in 1953, he was promoted from Major to Major-General, bypassing the ranks of Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel and Brigadier and the 15 to 20 years of experience that goes with those ranks. So, in 1967, you now have not just a full General but a General of three Arab Armies who should have been no higher thank full Colonel. That's the main reason why Egypt in particular lost in 1967 - because Egypt was more interested in promoting people out of loyalty, not expertise so they didn't lose because of Israeli superiority.
@abdulmismail ... Thank you for that context. So ... a guy who made Major through the ranks, makes friends with the President and gets appointed above all the other officers? The United States is considering that same choice at this very time. Most of us know it *sounds* stupid. But I hadn't realized that someone actually conducted the experiment and got real results.
Great video, buddy, but we don't expect anything less from you at this point! 😉 On more serious note: funny how when there's ocupation, wars or world unrest in general, the trace somehow always leads to England or France... That is, it would be funny if it wasn't tragic! Cheers!🍻🍻💪🏻👏🏻👍🏻🙋🏼♂️
I know it's not always very accurate, because, of course, you can't create planes for each video, that would be an huge work, but it's still good work and always very interesting. And too bad for the inaccuracies regarding the planes.

Sorry,i found it s insigna SPA 69 le 🐱 chat( cat) .this plane belongs to 1/1 Corse( Corsica) was based temporary in Lidda TelAviv
For one thing, there's the link to it in the description of this video. Also, in the final seconds of it, you can click on one of the suggestion cards which will open it. And if you just type '1956 suez air war' in YT search engine (or even Google) it will come up too. Don't know what else I could do.....

Must say @showtime112 disclaimers a great addition to finicky 🙄 UA-cam audience 😁! As always much appreciate the work done here, best wishes!
There is a reason why it is pronounced like that in British English; we are not French.
@@WgCdrLuddite But you don't write it "left tenant", do you? 😂
Also, what is the reason exactly?
@PappaBear_yt I'm not an expert on the US language so couldn't really speculate why they pronounce it like the French.
@PappaBear_yt In lieu of the tennant (in place of the ranking officer)
but the habit was to differ to the French pronunciation.
I clicked on vampire massacre video and have binged most of your channel to the point I was distracted all day from my work. I aint complaining you know.
I guess I'll have to start putting disclaimers such as 'watch at your own risk' 😁😁😁
@@showtime112 i waiting the video about Romanian air force part 2 against Soviet Union

Absolutely love this. Thank you for focusing on this conflict.
Thank you for the positive comment! I initially wanted to do a series on the War of Attrition but chose this one first.
I like the new format! Keep it going.
You can expect plenty more of this! Thanks for another positive comment!
Excellent.......My hobby is Air Wargames with miniatures.....These videos you produce are both informative and inspirational!
Any hobby that has something to do with aviation seems a good one 😁 Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm curious, which rules are you playing?
Love these stories ,keep up the good work!
Thank you very much, it's really nice to hear!
Another good video! Looking forward to the next episode!

I'm glad you like the format as I think it's a good idea too. And those early Arab-Israeli conflicts are generally unknown compared to 1967 or 1973.
Thanks!
This is great filling in my gaps in aircombat knowledge. Postwar w.w. 2

Holy cow , cutting cables with wingtips and propellers? 😱
I always thought the used the weighted cables as originally intended.
It was H.M. Murdock who was to pilot the Mustang.
Enjoyable as ever.
Great video. The complexity of the Middle East is something interesting
Thank you! I don't think anyone ever called the Middle East simple :)
