- Опубліковано 12 лют 2020
- This performance of "Amish Paradise" was recorded on Aug. 1, 2019 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO as part of our Strings Attached tour. This footage was taken directly from the IMAG feed. The Red Rocks performance featured the 71-piece Colorado Symphony, conducted by Scott O'Neil, who also arranged about half of the orchestral charts for the tour. These shows also featured my long-time band members (Jim "Kimo" West on guitar, Steve Jay on bass, Ruben Valtierra on keyboards and Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz on drums).as well as the greatest singers in the world, Lisa Popeil, Monique Donnelly and Scottie Haskell.

Weird Al is the only non controversial celebrity. Like how can anyone have anything against weird al

Mindless Scribbles Saw the Gervais video eh?
This dude hired an entire orchestra to sing a parody song.
*legend.*
He did his entire show with an orchestra that year! Parodies AND originals!
Now this is good music
Someone even copied the song and changed the lyrics into a prison rap
Even Stevie Wonder made a cover O.O
NOTWORTHYNOTWORTHY I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!
@@esajaan actually this is originally Stevie Wonders song that was covered

Posting this the day of the Sonic the Hedgehog Movie’s release seems intentional…
I saw Sonic. This is 100% better than that movie.
holy beans
@@HardlinerTheGeek
Now now, Sonic was actually pretty good, too.
supremetaco yeah, I didn’t hate it like I thought I would
Weird Al, along with his parodies, never seem to age.
Neither does Amish society
@@mackr1940 lol
He's awesome, weird Al for president
Meesho Batayeh To be honest, he would be a better candidate than everyone running now.
@@firewalldragon9774 Except Trump
NeverSaySandwich1 True. Although I don't like Trump, he is the only one running that I somewhat agree with. I can't support any of the candidates on the left because I don't support any of their policies.
@@firewalldragon9774 Nice, good for you
Stop..just....dont
I was at this concert at red rocks. I live in Colorado and it was the closest tour stop to me. It was awesome!
We had to cancel last minute sadly
when the parody is more persistant and memorized than the original.
Gangster's Paradise is still far more popular. I just looked on Spotify and GP has 413 million plays and AP has 17 million. It never has and never will be more popular than Gangster's Paradise.
@@2Beasty Actually i do not remember the video any more.
That’s how I fell about most of his songs.
Everytime I hear Gangster's Paradise I immediately start singing Weird Al's words.
Wonder how many of you realize the original is Pastime Paradise
Beta Sonic: Pastime Paradise
Old Sonic: Gangsta's Paradise
Redesign Sonic: Amish Paradise
Nice
Nice
Yep, this.
Elderly Sonic: Amish Paradise (Live at Red Rocks)
Still awesome after all these years.

The closest thing to how the amish would perform this song
Adler if it was fully acoustic it'd be way more amish, that being said you're not wrong, this is the closest we've gotten to an Amish version of Amish Paradise
Yes, except the women would have to remain silent and in the back :(
@@flippantb They already are in the back, and Amish doesn't mean the past
Weird Al is one of if not the most underrated performer alive today. His original musical compositions and arrangements themselves are sheer works of art, not to mention his hilarious satirizations of hit pop songs, which as you can see here he can still perform from memory (whereas some legacy bands resort to teleprompters for lyrics). Off the stage, he is a humble and down to earth man, representing the very best aspects of his faith. What a stellar life and career. Bless you Al ❤️
He’s hilarious...but I feel like his actual pure talent is so underrated. He can play a harmonica and an accordion. AT THE SAME TIME! Weird Al is a musical GOAT.
AND, he is IN FACT singing live with no auto-tune - mhmmmm
thanks, only 100% of us knew that already.
@@David_Downs their pointing it out coz everyone else these days use auto -tune -_-
Neo Blaze I never quite understood the gathered towards auto tune. Like if it helps them realize the idea they had for their song and it makes it better they should go for it
Shallex you’ve entirely missed the point. If the outcome sounds the way the artist wants it to that’s what matters and pitch correction can help with that. Auto tune is not an automatic negative and the though that it is and should not be used can has lead to artistic stagnation for some people
The Commenter Formerly Known as Doug Dimmadome Kanye West does it all the time
Flawless, as always!
WhatAre you doing here
This was originally released almost exactly 24 years ago
(March 12th 1996)
For Al he probably worked on this 24 years ago
Crazy how his voice hasn't really changed in all that time. He's ageless somehow....
The masterpiece parody
But live
I think the best part about this Parody is how much Coolio was against this Parody being made! Not only is this a phenomenal parody, but it boosted Coolio's career for a short time! Al is a legend!
What do you mean? This is the original.
I had the privilege of seeing Al in person twice. He gave his all and it was the most entertaining concert I ever went to.
Seen him 3 times as a kid, met him back stage all 3 times, WEIRD AL IS THE BEST , SO NICE SO AWESOME
Ah! I was there that night. The "No Strings Attached" Tour with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. It was fantastic.
HAHA!! That's me!! Black shirt with red sides 02:08 dead center left, center center at 02:20 next to the girl in yellow (she's great btw), and on the lower right corner at 03:11 I'm famous now, thanks to AL!! This was an AWESOME show!! Got to meet the man himself. Al is just one of those people, like Tom Hanks, or Betty White that are impossible not to like. A rare 10/10 of a human being, the best thing ever to grace the UHF, and a priceless role model for Wonder Hamsters everywhere.
You are my hero Weird Al, keep being the most creative man in the music business!
@Lord Megawin I think in an interview that he might be done with new material because the music scene changes so much that no song is popular for too long, making it difficult to parody a relevant song
I was hoping he'd hit the "butter churn" move from the music video. Al never disappoints!
If I never get to see him live, I'll consider my life a failure.
Imagine not getting that chance, and know there was a guy in the front row that didn't look up from his phone the whole time.
I've seen him twice. Both times I won the tickets from local radio stations.
how the F did u got so much subs
Damn, wish I'd been there.
Honestly his shows are amazing.
This dude is incredible. You have to give him credit, the man is 60 and doesn't look a day over 42! Love you Al
Got an ad for the sonic movie before the video, "Coincidence, I THINK NOT"
I saw Al at a local casino for my birthday one year and what made the concert even more awesome was that Al walked through casino saying hi to everyone before he came on stage through the crowd to get on the stage in the theater. XD I was sitting in the nosebleeds but I didn't care in the slightest because I'm a massive Weird Al fan. Love you so much Al, you always entertain. ♥
from a Canadian fan.
This is the kind of quality content that I live for, and I say this with sincerity
I was there and that show was amazing!!
How could anyone down-vote anything Weird Al posts?? Heathens.
People that didn't like the ending of Albuquerque.
Don't worry, Al will be laughing his head off while they're burning in hell.
The Amish.
People who are jealous they didn't get to watch it live?
@@tejaswoman impossible I didn’t know this existed but jealous but not pissed
One of the GREATEST parodies in history!!!!
Thank you for this Valentine's gift.
This is great quality for something that was recorded prior to 1986.
Что?
This man is a legend
God bless you all the time MASTER!
If I HAD to give a critics I would regret that we hear the backing vocals so lightly, they give Al's part so much power
AWESOME performance!!
I hope al goes on tour again this year

This is the best parody well ALL OF WEIRD AL YANKOVIC RULES
This is my fav parody too💗
I remember going to a concert in Indiana and it was a great experience. The costumes, songs, even the warmup was really good. Hearing him live is definitely worth the money.
I NEED to see these live
I've always really loved the orchestral backing to this track.
This is awesome!
So sad even Ezekiel thinks his mind has gone 😭😭😭😭
I imagine some of these orchestra players thinking about all the time and money they probably spent at Julliard or some fancy music school and finding themselves playing background for Weird Al at Red Rocks. I hope they think "I made it, can't go any higher than this."
This guy's genius is underated...
I love this man he is amazing
This is my jam I could listen to thus 24 7
damn i wish i could see you live! love you so much, man!
Please live forever
My man has had a hit song in every decade since the 70s. Name another artist that has even come close.
This is nice of you to do this for people who cant see a concert 😁👍
Amazing
I kinda love how it's a full orchestra! Those strings behind each verse, complete with a conductor directing them. How easy would it have been to just synthesize that on keyboards? Not our Al! Bravo, sir!
Weird al rocks!
It’s quite amazing really, this People who this song is about will never hear it
I was lucky enough to see him last summer in Interlochen, MI...the man puts on an incredible show. He came out into the audience and stopped at my row while singing 'Tacky' if I remember correctly and I was just a few feet from him. I've been a fan since I was a teenager and I'm 56 now.
Such dedication to live performances; he always brings top energy and that band is so damn tight.
"...all the little Amlets want to be like..." cracks me up every time, and has for years.
I can't help but think of the Sonic movie trailer whenever I listen to this now. Saw the show a few months ago and it was so worth it!
I'm so glad your posting again Al!!
I've been to a concert like this earlier last year!
Saw this performance live and gosh it was just beautiful!
PLEASE post more live concert videos!! 😍
I saw him on this tour and it was everything.
Al's movements make this even more amazing
Best music ever
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I know that these recordings are expensive abd was happy with Jackson Park Express as is.
Absolutely Fantastic... Even the band is dressed for it!
this guy is epic in all the meaning of the word
Who has been waiting for something like this? Very exciting and cool.
Your pipes, dude! Just as good, if not better, than the first time I heard Another One Rides The Bus. Love it!
Your awesome! Weird Al
Only one word comes to mind when listening to weird al......GENIUS!
God I love this man
I am a huge fan of your music!
I’ve been a fan since the early 80’s. This was my first Weird Al concert. Came out from Iowa with my son and attended with my sister, her husband and my nephew, all of whom live in CO. What a great show. What a great venue. Backed up by the Denver Symphony Orchestra...wow. And now to find out that it was recorded. I hope that the whole show will one day be available for purchase. Thanks Al, for being such a great showman, and for sharing your talent and whimsical joy with the world for 40 years.
You're literally the best human we have.
Weird Al - The greatest thing since the wheel
How he can be so cool?! ❤️😊
This is better than the original song. Says much about Weird Al
Like White and Nerdy
Like ill sue ya i couldn't get into the original song but weird al version was awesome
It´s not

Back in like 2007 my cousin asked me to help him tryout for the Middle School talent show to perform this song dressed in our suits and beards. We def didn't make it but that memory taught me to stop caring about what other people think and just have fun making harmless art even when it's "dorky" Good times man

He sounds exactly like he did in the song, every single word
So great to see him doing his great work. Super entertaining
Artists say they know they've made it when Weird Al calls. But playing Red Rocks means you've made it into musical history.
This show was so awesome! Lucky I got to go
a throwback to better times
I was at this show and it was great one!
After all these years, he’s still got it! Go Al!!
Please please please please release at least one show with the full orchestra.
Dear Al... time to rebrand has come. It's Awesome Al now.
This is 98% identical to the original cut; live. After how many years since it was released? That's a testament to just how good he is.
These videos show that Al is just truly a talented singer! He's such a great performer
Absolute classic!
