Also called the squeak king!!! I had a swervomatic that I played for thirty plus years! I bought it new in 1965 and was the fastest pedal I ever used! Fast trips were possible!! Rumor has it that buddy rich used that pedal until he died regardless of who was sponsoring him!
Cleaned, inspected, lubed (teflon grease), rebuilt my 1967 Speed King in 2004...wouldnt trade for anything made today. I've never heard a "squeak" from mine, but I lube all points on average twice per year. If there was a squeak, I'd imagine it could never be heard over the type music I play, and would likely be very well drowned out by the crack and sustain of the drums themselves. Speed King rules...dial one in and see why !
