I just watched this episode last night. George looked great in it. He actually looks the most like the Superman from the comics out of any of the actors to play the character.
@nealadamsdotcum He just exerted a lot of energy and was exposed to major nuclear radiation in the scene before this. Thats why he is talking like that.
When Superman flewinto a lighning storm and got struck by a bolt, shouldnt he have gone back to the flowers to make sure he was OK before going to save Lois?
No, this wasn't a kinescope show. It was filmed like a (very cheap!) movie. They used kinescopes to preserve live performances. Kinescopes were cameras that filmed off live TV monitors, with the shutter speed adjusted so you wouldn't get the rolling black bar you'd get using a normal camera. The kinescopes we have today are due mostly to ad agencies recording live TV for their clients.
The MUSIC used in the SupermanTV series is absolutely amazing !!
Yes for the first two seasons. Not so much for the last four color seasons.

I agree.
This time Superman was so heavily irradiated to push the control rods back in, that his hand withered flowers.
Superman looks like it was his first day on decafe
Whoever mastered the video did too good a job of it. It's issing the look of a grainy kinescope fro te 50's.

Totally a gree with you. The music for the Adv of superman is really masterful !! Williams is good, but too predictable.
Glow in the dark Superman.
This is how Superman destroyed his gonads and never had children
I think the scientist who talks to Superman here is the same actor who was the narrator in Reefer Madness.
How timely !!
