  • This is my Sistema microwave rice maker review. Does it really work. Being honest, if you have mastered the art of cooking rice the traditional way, then you will yield better results. If you're after something completely hassle free with decent results, then you really can't go wrong.

    Hi, Thank you for your video. I've recently bought the same microwave rice cooker fr Amazon but it did not come with any instructions. Lucky I found your video and I cooked it as per your instructions and the rice came out perfect! Thank you very much. Sistema should use your video as their online instructions. 👌

      @RichieTheFoodie , I've been using the microwave rice cooker and using ur measurements which works out perfect each time. No sticking to the bottom or uncooked rice. Perfect each time!.
      Just want to know if I were to cook more than the half cup of rice, how much water would I need? Tks in advance. 🙂

    I cook my rice in the microwave too using a similar product by Decor. It’s a similar price to the one you showed. It is brilliant. I have gone through 3 electric rice cookers and this method or my TM6 are the best for cooking rice. ❤️🌺

      I must say I was very surprised with the results considering this thing is so cheap. I can’t really fault it. A little easier than using the TM6. Thanks for stopping by and supporting the channel 🙋🏻‍♂️😀RTF

    Great video. I bought this and love it. To save on five minutes of running water. I wash the rice in the bowl and drain with the inner lid on. You must use gallons of water washing a small cup of rice.

      not sure if it works for the microwave version, but i don't even rinse rice in the sink, i just give it a stir in the boiling water doing it stovetop.

    My rice is hard when using this more water or more time in microwave or both?

    • @RichieTheFoodie
      @RichieTheFoodie  Рік тому +2

      As good as this gadget is, it can take a few cooks to nail down, due to whatever rice type/brand you’re using, plus, your microwave output. If you’re rice is dry as well as too hard after your cook, then definitely add more water and cook longer. Mushy rice and hard rice? Just cook for longer. Persist and you’ll eventually find what works for you. Hope this helps and thanks for stopping by 🙋🏻‍♂️😀RTF

    Cooking rice normally is a pain and inconsistent? Boil 2x water, add rice, give it a spin (i don't even rinse rice, just stir it a bit), med heat covered for 20minutes white, 30 brown, is just too tricky, eh?
    Edit: Hey, acknowledged the normal method makes better rice, nice.

      Hi Keith, thanks for the feedback, it’s much appreciated. The traditional method definitely makes better rice. 🙋🏻‍♂️😀RTF

      Hello. I wouldn’t feel too daunted about using this, there’s nothing much too. You might need a few attempts with timings to get this too your liking as microwaves vary. Do be careful of the steam when releasing the lid. Let me know how yours turn out! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, I appreciate it 🙋🏻‍♂️😀RTF
