    Love the video again !
    Was wondering, is this spot also good in winter ? Say from december to february ?
    I'm looking for a good spot close to europe, flat water and good wind of course ;)

    I haven't been in Makani beach, but I usually go to Kitepower (that is few hundred meters upwind). Very nice place, but you need shoes because of corals and shells.

    Awesome vid as usual. Live the angle to really see what you're doing and when.
    Is a 10 or 12m too big to try to kiteloop with? You seem to throw them no worries still. I'm in Cumbuco now with 20knots being the common speed so large kites for the heavy boys.

    I have never understood using compressors, you have to warm up anyway so pumping the kite is good part of a warm up. I’m going to soma bay for a week in November. The trip is already paid so I can not change to el gouna, but I believe soma bay will be equally awesome!! I can’t wait for the trip bcs now it’s pretty cold in Poland.

      Go for an downwinder to Utopia Island if you are in Soma Bay.

    Hi, Do you have any tips for riding in salty water without getting a stuffy nose?? Every time I go for a kite trip outside the Baltic Sea, I end up with a stuffy nose and snoring after the first session on the water. Thanks!

    Mike, a question about the XR Pro now that you've flown it longer and I'm sure you've borrowed it to intermediate riders. If you are an intermediate kiter who is training hard to do kiteloops with the 9 (where I kite there is not so much wind) at 4-6 meters, is it a good idea to switch from the xr8 to the Pro? I see how other kiters do much easier with other kite brands that the kite catches you, so I am almost thinking of changing the brand, but Core is just of the quality just better.
    What do you think, is there a big difference?
    I'm glad you're doing more videos again!

      Great question, im in the same situation and im so confused about to bring the pro or to bring quicker kite from another brand for loops… i tried others 5 struts kites like north and duotone and they were much quicker and more forgiving with kite loops… but in the same hand i didnt like their material quality.

      I have a xr8 9m loops are hard to do with one hand on the bar, I try loop board off. I also have a nexus 3 10m and it's easy to loop but is harder to go high. Soooo... maybe evo dlab for me ..

    Affordable, Mike? are you serious? That's insane, especially in Egypt, where anywhere else in the country outside the tourist traps you can get by with 10$ a day. 3$ coffee is Australian standard, that's absolutely crazy.

    • @gethighwithmike
      @gethighwithmike  7 місяців тому +1

      Yeah I guess it's all relative 😂
      The cheapest *good coffee* I've found anywhere in the world is about $2, and that's in Cape Town. By contrast, a coffee in New York or California is often as much as $6. So if a good coffee is $3, I'm for sure gonna call that affordable. But again, it's a relative term 👻

      I agree, been to Egypt for the second time and confirmed it's a tourist trap. There's other better and "safer" places to go kiting. There's nothing special about it Mike. Sorry

      @Ryy22 7 місяців тому

      Gonna agree here as well, very expensive with inflation now and avoiding Egypt because of the tourist trap and hecklers

    nice video mike ! The Beach club, the vibes and the food is great but the spot has some issues. Its not that deep, there are many corals and asshole snails. Learning new tricks like board offs is quite scatchy because you have to keep an eye on your landingzone otherwise you can hit the corals sometimes. You need shoes while you kite because of the underground in the water :(

    • @gethighwithmike
      @gethighwithmike  7 місяців тому +1

      For sure I'm always keeping an eye on the water level. I normally only send it in the safe areas and during the high tide :)

    Perfect, lets meet with other 1000 kiters on water... There is No need publish... Damn, what is what We want? Flat water, sun, orphaned places. Everybody is publishing El Gouna... IT ends in overtourism, a Land without drinking-water, yeaha.
