I'd like to clear the air being I'm the drummer on this,a lot of comments on how this demo was made ,and by who, is not true,we were 21 years old and starving,Pete Steele sent us to josh silver to record side 1, in his in house studio during Easter weekend in 1988,there really was no "producer"we just plugged in played live recorded it 24 tracks and did it all in about 1 or 2 takes, mixed in 1 day, this was done for practically nothing,as a favore from Pete and josh.bobby,Evan and myself recorded this b4 billy was with us,we gave it to him and said learn it,he later added his trax over this later that month.side 2 is a completely different story all together,as your can hear the difference in the recordings.
So Billy isn't a founding member?
I got this on cassette somewhere
Great recording in any case!
wow if this Anthony wow its been a long time you would sometimes sit in our rehearsals at fast lanes and jam with us
@@DanGenia no he was not.
R.I.P. Anthony Meo 🤘🥁🤘
This is hardcore plus some Black Sabbath, more then a bit of thrash, and even some Celtic Frost..I like it..
Proto-Beatdown Hardcore At Its The Best !
Grunge sometimes
S.O.D in there especially track 6
At first I thought you were describing sludge metal cause hardcore + doom metal = sludge. I guess sludgy thrash = proto beatdown?
One of my favorite Hardcore Punk bands of All Time!!!🇯🇵
Whether you like the Rap/metal blend this band had or not, you have to admit that they made some killer riffs!
Was rockin out to this back in 88. Thank you very much for the upload. I lost the cassette in the late 90s.
Best Biohazard material for me.
thx, this is the best quality upload of this demo
WHY COULDN'T THEY STAY LIKE THIS?! :D
Mal wacho... hubiera sido la gloria
LA'MOUR Brooklyn 89!! Hell Yes!
MY FAVORITE BIOHAZARD RELEASE. THANK YOU!
Best they did agreed
thanks for the sharing, this play is so rare.
Intro has strong Black Sabbath and Sepultura influences.. And i love this... In overall that sounds live and most probably, that is the way they recorded it... Bravo!!!
First of all they are straight up nyc hardcore original and they are not rap core.
I have been looking for this for years, thank you!
No problem I have been looking for it myself finally found a copy that had go sound so I posted it.
This is the best stuff these guys have done. Herd it when it first came out. Friend of mine picked it up at one of there shows.
Remember my Friend Had This Demo in "90"" and It's What Got me Into This Band Then Biohazard There Self Debut, came out and I Was All In. Seen them in Brooklyn N.Y. in the Early 90,s. Good Times.
Lamours
@@paultenorio1973 yes L'Amours I saw biohazard at least 50x back in the 90s
fuck ,this was some good shit when it came out. so hard. I saw these guys from the beginning. . L'amour shows with white zombie....
THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS ever since a bandmate walked off with mine!!!
thanks for sharing!!!!!! awesome!!!
I wish they would have stuck to this sound more, I'd definitely say they were more crossover thrash leaning than hardcore at this point in their career
Played this in my mom's 87 Riviera till the tape popped.
Meo rules on drums, anybody got live footage from the 80s(hard to find :)you'll see a maniac drummer!!He hung with carnivore drummer Lou beato also a monster drummer light years ahead of time.Danny's great but meo was the guy back in day.
yeah he got that double base mastered like dave lombardo.
Raw and Powerfull
I wish I'd heard this when I was 15 and only familiar with their later material. Not that that stuff was bad, but this (and the first record) is seriously awesome.
This the Jumpoff! CLASSIC ✊
Einfach nur grandios die Scheibe
One of the first metalcore records ever.
100 percent thank you finnaly someone agrees with me
Anyone else buy this demo at Record Factory on 86th Street in Bay Ridge when it first came out?
♥♥♥ das heilt meine Seele - this heals my soul ♥♥♥
Saw you guys for the Urban Discipline tour in Providence RI
I'd love some type of physical copy of this joint. It's crazy how these songs morphed into what they became on future albums.
Tape only of the original... I believe.. had one until the early 2000s. Left it in a work van.. gone, never to be seen again
Some assholes back in the early "89" and "90" thought these guys were a Nazi band even 2 guy,s were Jewish image the ignorance back then over a song! Glad I never listened to others and had a mind of my own!! Seen them a lot from there first 3 albums!
could be because of songs like master race. just an idea, but i am not sure who that was made up.
Yeah, well SOB had a Brutal Attack tattoo, a WhitePower band lol
Well not nazi but racist. There's racist whites, blacks, jews, hispanics, racists are everywhere
American Nazi pride?
fact this was Issued in 88 proves it even more :D
Hopefully this gets a vinyl reissue this rocks
Just released on vinyl by Demolition Records.
@@hellawaits77NY I bought one from my local record store kudos to them for putting this out. Thanks for the heads up.
Jack, I'm 99% sure you guys rocked the cafe nine bar in New Haven Ct.
It had to be at least 6, maybe even 8 years ago.
I just stumbled on you guys on UA-cam.
I hope all is well and a happy new years to you guys
Thier other 2 Lps after this demo are good as well.
A very good demo
Evan's voice would be great covering Motorhead.
nice
Evan was like 21 here, and has a voice like a 45 year old. Pretty impressive!
🍺😎🤘
Keith Alexander of Carnivore, Primal Scream, and then later Dee Sniders SMF Produced them I know. I drove him there. But not this one, maybe , I think. But the first one. It was early.
Not true.
@@meotv2336 Ok, I was on a lot of drugs back then, but I do remember driving Keith Alexander to work with them one time or another, and if my memory is failing me it's only because this all happened over 35 years ago. I am sorry if I offended you, but may I ask? who the fuck are you?
@@meotv2336 So if this is the Josh demo, where is the Keith demo?
@@meotv2336 Who are you?
@@meotv2336And as I put in my disclaimer, "But not this one, maybe, I think"
Hay, maybe you can track down the first order demo. That kicked ass.
20:39 9.Survival Of The Fittest
United forces from SOD?
Bad ass
Yes Sounds Like old Metal
20:48 SOD - United Forces
haha yep
This demo and band is awesome, I hate everything it went onto inspire even a generation or two later that doesn't even know this band.
This is the best material they ever released.
@@NotesFromTheUnderground2 im enjoying it, I haven't heard this before I also heard a promo demo they did after was good, this has strong Carnivore vibes
What's the context of America?
🩸💎🩸

Buenazo!

Yeah, sort of.
Is this the same demo as the copy that I had with lyrics about their Nazi pride ? Sad as fucking all get out . True posers!
Nobody gave a shit back then so who cares.
