I respectfully disagree the live performance in Amsterdam is much better, as you can see body language and energy that you cannot get on an audio recording, plus when a band is as good live as those guys, why would you not go with the live performance.
@@shuriken4852 Yeah, but his voice doesn't sound as good (subjective... I know). But wasn't he sick in one of the popular live performances? He just sounds rough compared to the album version. He sounds awesome in this one, WDTTW, and he sounds more like this in the studio version of Blackbird than the live one.
LETS GOOOO! Hey man! A little back story on these guys, they formed back in 2004 when the band Creed broke up, lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, bass player Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips (all from creed) hooked up with vocalist Myles Kennedy and theyve been going strong ever since! Just releasing their 6th studio album this past October of 19! And Mark Tremonti was just named Guitarist of the Decade by Guitar World Magazine! And actually the solo in their song Blackbird was also voted greatest guitar solo of all time by Guitar World Magazine as well! This song was written about a conversation between Myles and Mark about faith. Myles was having a hard time after his father past away and Mark was saying don’t lose hope, maybe there is something out there! That’s why they sing back and fourth to each other like they’re having said conversation. These guys are seriously incredible and severely underrated! You should really check out more from them! I kid you not, after 6 albums, i have not heard a single bad song from these guys! Also fun fact, they only got to run through each song ONE TIME before the show. That’s all the rehearsal they got with the orchestra, and they absolutely killed it!! AND this was the first time they’ve ever played this song live, Myles was always worried about the high note at the end and not being able to hit it... he CRUSHED IT!! Myles is the main front man but since Mark is so incredibly skilled he sings on a couple tracks and mainly harmonizes. Take care and hope to see you checkout more from them!
FINALLY, Alterbridge has so much talent. Both guys have side projects, Myles sings for Slashes band as well as many other guest spots like the Sound of silence with disturbed in an awsome live version of that song.
Blackbird live from Amsterdam is a must. Btw tremonti has a side project which he is the lead singer and Myles is the lead singer of slash and he also has two solo album. These guys are amazing
Mark Tremonti, the lead guitarist, has his own band called Tremoni that he sings in and he was the lead guitarist of Creed. Myles Kennedy was a guitarist first and guitar teacher, he's the front man of Alter Bridge and also for Slash's (of Guns n Roses fame) band Slash and the Conspirators and he also has two solo albums which are folky and awesome
Not to show my Creed colors (here goes) but Tremonti was not the lead singer of Creed-that was Scott Stapp. Mark is amazing nonetheless because Mark rocks on vocals and on guitar, and is a great songwriter!
Ken, brother, if you wanna hear Myles' very best vocal performance, please watch a song called "Watch over you" live from Amsterdam. It is just him and his acoustic guitar.
No I disagree, do the billboard studio version. MYLES sings the song too fast in Amsterdam and doesn't put that special something on the vocals....it is in the middle of a concert and he is all amped up. Billboard one is much, much better version
"Two frontmen." They both absolutely slay when they play guitar solos. Absolutely world-class lead guitarists, both of them! (Esp. Tremonti but Kennedy can hold his won.)
Give "Blackbird" a listen. It's this generation's "Stairway to Heaven." Instant classic. That and "Someone to Watch Over You." You'll be blown away. I guarantee. :)
I'm seeing Myles Kennedy in Orlando on his Solo tour. It's the second show at a 1300 person hall. September 8. He is so amazing. And a amazing guy. I can't wait
It seems incredible to me that this band does not have the recognition it deserves in your country. Here in Europe they are biggest than in the United States. Greetings from Spain.
This song was inspired by a conversation between the two of them about religion. The album this song was on dealt a lot with Myles struggling with faith. Its a very special song and marked the first time they did co lead vocals. Killer. So glad you reacted to this.
Alter Bridge is one of those rock gems. Listen to most any of their songs and you won't be disappointed. As many will suggest, Blackbird is among their best. Worth a review in the future.
I hoped a review of Alter Bridge would come! Please look at more of their songs! "Watch over you" is a beautiful ballad, definitely worth listening to...
Saw them live and I've never seen someone seem to sing as effortlessly as Myles Kennedy while simultaneously singing incredibly difficult songs. It never seemed to be a challenge for him. Just flawless.
you need to play Alter Bridge "Blackbird" Live to understand his actual range, and that song has one of the greatest duel guitar solos you'll ever hear.
Alter Bridge is the band Creed with Myles as the new singer. 7 albums and Mark Tremonti is founding member of Creed, Alter Bridge and his own band call amazingly enough Tremonti and they have 5 albums. Tremonti just came out with their 5th album called Marching in Time, you should give it a listen. Tremonti is considered to be one of the best rock guitarist in the world and obviously is one prolific song writer.
You have to listen to more alter bridge! They are utterly amazing! I strongly recommend blackbird and watch over you, but they have tons of good songs!

Great reaction... I love Alter Bridge, specially when they back their songs with orchestras. If you want to hear another unbelievable live performance with orchestra, you should check Dream Theater playing Illumination Theory live from the Boston Opera House ... It's amazing!!
They do both front other bands, Mark Tremonti (lead guitar) fronts his solo band “Tremonti” which sounds reminiscent of a more melodic Metallica, and Myles has solo records as well as fronts Slash’s band Myles Kennedy and the Consipirators. AB is the happy mix in between, but it’s ALL excellent 🤘🏼
Won't repeat any of the details on Alter Bridge (AB) below, but Myles has been named vocalist of the year for the past several years, including his 1st solo album was named album of the year and his 2nd is just been released. He was also asked by the Zeppelin (Page, Jones, Bonham) to jam with them for a couple of weeks to replace Plant, when he wasn't interested in going out on the road with them as Led Zeppelin. 2 videos to check out: ua-cam.com/video/WR4_chcwvoM/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/frWOHZHDE3E/v-deo.html

I disagree so much on the mix - I think it is bang on perfect. The orchestra can be heard perfectly but they are MEANT to be a background accompaniment and not foreground - it is also absolutely live, so no trickery here, this is not po(o)p music where the artists can't do their thing. I thought you spoke over bits of the song that if you'd given them more respect you would have been blown away even more - this was top tier showmanship and I feel like you completely missed it. Anyway - I do think Ken would enjoy her songs. Especially Somewhere over the rainbow or fields of gold. I hope he can do a reaction or at least experience the wonderful voice of Eva Cassidy.
@@Warriorbox Have you listened to Autumn Leaves? That's definitely one of my favorites by her too. This is the one I'm talking about:

I disagree so much on the mix - I think it is bang on perfect. The orchestra can be heard perfectly but they are MEANT to be a background accompaniment and not foreground - it is also absolutely live, so no trickery here, this is not po(o)p music where the artists can't do their thing. I thought you spoke over bits of the song that if you'd given them more respect you would have been blown away even more - this was top tier showmanship and I feel like you completely missed it. Yes, your face changed properly during that high note, but I didn't see someone actually appreciating the ebb and flow of a magnificent song done perfectly live.
React to “Lakini’s Juice” live at Paradiso
Hello! Could You please react to Kamelot "Elisabeth" That song is a real masterpiece.
