@@leddygee1896no one in their band writes any songs in full. Myles certainly wrote his solo here but the main part with hybrid/finger picking is absolutely Mark’s style and who knows what riffs are whose from there on.
just my opinion that creed was a very bland and unoriginal band. AB far surpasses them in most areas. if we assume that to be true for a minute we have to look at Myles as one of the main reasons for making AB a truly great band. he was really the only major change. Myles is even good enough to make you forget that AB has an average rhythm section.
I totally get that. I kinda have this weird thing where I don't pay much attention to lyrics so for me, Creed was basically a collection of cool guitar riffs 😅 But I do agree about Myles. His vocals are incredible

Not to mention their song writing! They do not have a single bad song, and there's 7 albums, my favourite being AB3. My top 5 songs of theirs have to be: Blackbird, This Side of Fate, Words darker than their wings, Calm the Fire and Ghost of days gone by. All phenomenal.

This is literally one of the best live shows ever recorded, if not the best. Alter Bridge songs themselves are great to add orchestra to, as there's a lot of space and a lot of harmonic movement and intricate little parts with a lot of different dynamics where the orchestra can go crazy with the arrangements. Even my girlfriend who doesn't listen to any sort of rock/guitar music and doesn't care much about music at all watches this show from first to last song without even blinking lol

I'd be pretty pissed if I paid to see them live and Myles sung like that. It just doesn't sound good to me at all. I truly believe that they are not a great live band anymore because of it. If you try to compare this RAH version to Amsterdam, there's like no comparison. Everyone was on point back then and Myles wasn't trying to save his voice yet. I don't blame him for doing so nowadays but I wouldn't pay to go see them now. I'd rather go see Tremonti instead.

I actually remember this dude in the movie Rock Star 💫 I always wondered if this guy was that good of a singer but didn’t dive deep into my highly detailed routine of researching everything that entertains my 🧠. It’s weird I’ve only seen this guy in that movie which triggered my curiosity if I was right. Alter Bridge became my favourite band the second I saw their first ever music video for ‘Open Your Eyes’ back in mid-noughties and remain so to this day. Then ‘the difficult second album’ was released - Blackbird. That title song hits every note for me, and is my all-time favourite. Nothing comes close to this day. And I’ll always reach for the Live At The Royal Albert Hall blu-ray to show them off if someone asks ‘What’s Alter Bridge?’

I have the blu-ray of this show. It’s probably the best mixed, performed and structured show of AlterBridge. They’re freaking fantastic and Blackbird has some of the best solo work of all time.
Was at the first night of these two shows. As a fan of AB since the very beginning you sometimes forget just how special this band is. It’s always a trip to see people discovering them for the first time.
Emotionally evocative, the experience of being the live audience must have been EPIC!!! Nice to see all the footage of Tremonti and the band working together!!!

All the members of this band are incredibly talented. Definitely check out Myles' and Tremonti's solo projects. They are all so down to earth and close to their fans as well! Some of my favorite western music for sure.

I remember listening to this as a little kid... I didn't really understand the lyrics at the time, but this was the first solo in a song where I could actually just feel it. A masterpiece in song writing from all angles.
I love the phone call interruption!! 😊The Beatles Blackbird was one of the first songs my first guitar teach taught me when I was 11. I always play it to doodle around, warm up, check out guitars at shops, whatever. I really need to learn AB's Blackbird.
They go so hard on that E note on the main riff since they're using Eb standard tuning, so they can effectively do that chromatic descending riff (Gb- (Ab-bend) F-(Ab-bend)) and then hit the E on the first fret with full strenght. It's an amazing song, very well composed and structured, and with a superb emotionally driven guitar duet. These guys are great songwriters and performers.

I have the blu-ray of this show. It’s probably the best mixed, performed and structured show of AlterBridge. They’re freaking fantastic and Blackbird has some of the best solo work of all time.
I lost my Mother to Huntingtons disease 10 years ago. This has always been my release. Myles is a legend. Mark is a genius.
When I was shown this song, my buddy introduced this is as “our generation’s Stairway to Heaven”. I couldn’t agree more.

All the members of this band are incredibly talented. Definitely check out Myles' and Tremonti's solo projects. They are all so down to earth and close to their fans as well! Some of my favorite western music for sure.

I remember listening to this as a little kid... I didn't really understand the lyrics at the time, but this was the first solo in a song where I could actually just feel it. A masterpiece in song writing from all angles.

I love the phone call interruption!! 😊The Beatles Blackbird was one of the first songs my first guitar teach taught me when I was 11. I always play it to doodle around, warm up, check out guitars at shops, whatever. I really need to learn AB's Blackbird.
They go so hard on that E note on the main riff since they're using Eb standard tuning, so they can effectively do that chromatic descending riff (Gb- (Ab-bend) F-(Ab-bend)) and then hit the E on the first fret with full strenght. It's an amazing song, very well composed and structured, and with a superb emotionally driven guitar duet. These guys are great songwriters and performers.
You gotta stop sleeping on Alterbridge. Go down that rabbit hole. You will not be disappointed.
