Thanks I am looking at Fox vs Elka. I might eliminate my 2 in lift kit too. I have the same issue it won’t load into my enclosed trailer without removing the top

They look great! Perhaps there is a shop nearby that can tune them?

How much total weight can your machine hold? People, gear , water etc? I took mine out and it handled horribly mainly because I had 1000 pounds easily with All the people and gear. Thinking of adding the Fox shocks and increasing the preload? I will typically want to carry at least 700 lbs on most hunting trips . Also do you run tire pressure higher when you take more weight? I run 10/12 pounds and tires looked sagging. Thinking I should of bought 1000 if I can’t get the ride better, it was scary with bottoming out and loss of steering control. Thanks for input in advance!

Ok these are not trucks or jeeps and even jeeps have weight limit . Cargo and that is people also is 1000lbs and the 1000 and 700 have same weight requirements at 1000 lbs . So by getting the more expensive machine , u gain no weight but u do gain 1000 lbs more towing and that is pulling a trailer but tongue weight is same on the 700 and 1000 . So what does that all mean ???? Is the suspension is same on 700 and 1000 . All u gain is some extra horse power so u can bottom out harder and cause worse damage at higher speed . Make sense now . So I’ve hauled 800 lbs elk and it was hard on it and me at 190 so about 1000lbs , that’s max out and I went slow and easy to not hurt machine . The 1000 lbs max is top in its class . Good luck finding better ?? Also make sure u read manufacturers specs DO NOT LISTEN TO DEALER !! They will say anything to sell a machine and lie about what it can carry

I have to add more lol and yes my rides are at around 10-12 psi on back but like 8 to 10 on front . Shocks help a lot and I run around 600-700 lbs all the time in normal rides with total 5 people in the machine . That’s my 2 daughters and wife and son and me . We have no issues . We ride everything and go see lots of stuff , now if I don’t watch the road or slow down for big stuff I’m sure I might bottom out again ?? I’ve just learned when to slow down ?? I also usually run the shocks at 3 which makes tight and that helps . Can also adjust the springs to make harder which would help on bottom outs . Hope all this helps ya ??

Awesome!! Thank you for your fast reply. I will probably by the shocks and increase preload a marginal amount. I’m heading to AZ for a big hunt with it next month. With the new shocks I hope it’s better. Love the content keep it up.

@@chukarboyalso the pioneer 1000 comes with better shocks stock , I don’t think I ever say that and after learning that , is when I got the fox shocks , because that was the only difference between the two machines suspension, and all the Honda forums stated that , u will see a huge difference and good luck on your hunt
