If you try the mothership rush again, you could recall a probe and build a pylon in their base for warp-ins.
I think u could build a warp prism in the time it takes to build the pylon and slow warp your unit. If u did it tho it would be very funny

That would be really fun and Im curious how high on the ladder he could get with that because of how unviable and hilarious it is, especially against Terran. You need like 10 consecutive neurals on an scv to build a command center

Unfortunately cheesing and rushing pushed me away from this game. I'm a type of player that likes to play big macro games with nice clashes, kinda like WC3 back then etc.
Defending every game against reaper rushes and shit like that just ruins all the fun and it's honestly more stress than enjoyment and it's a video game in the end.
I do like watching it though, especially from protoss and zerg.
then make some friends and play honorable macro games against them. just play ladder and add friend everyone who play macro and then ask them for private games.
personally i love going on ladder and doing 3 rax reaper against greedy players who think they can get away with that without knowing how to actually defend early game with good scouting and micro.
if you want to play ladder and you are not GM rank just open safe with 2 rax, 2 gateway, or pool first and then macro from there, if your opponent is not cheesing or playing super greedy, you probably can kill them early and if they are honorable macro player you can have the game you want with a very small deficit.
While I normally play Terran, I definitely love seeing a good tempest build. A few years ago, while I was still kinda new to starcraft, I played a game against a Terran. Both of us were kinda new, so we both sat back and were just building units. Unfortunately for him, I was making mass tempests. He didn't realize this until too late, when he finally scanned me. The look on his face must have been priceless, and his reaction definitely was. He started building so many turrets lol (not that they did him a bit of good, poor guy)
Aren't marines with good upgrades + mines annihilate tempests because of the overkill damage of tempests?
I can't wait to see the new challenges once this insane "proposed" patch goes through!!!

If you're rushing mothership, I highly recommend fast 4 gas mass sentry with it. It works at least up to M3 for all races as far as I'm concerned.
Oh and btw, learning Cyrillic, as a fellow Dutchman, probably wouldnt be that hard for you. You could probably learn to read and pronounce it phonetically in a few days. Its learning actual slavic languages thats hard. The grammar is quite complex. For example, i can tell you, your opponents name was "sanavabich" aka sonofabitch)))

Idea while doing protos cheese:: use war prism to make cannons. Many people don’t know you can power buildings with them.
Problem is cannons are not scary by the time a Warp Prism can reach the base. Would be super fun otherwise. Shield Batteries, to support an all-in, maybe.

You don't have the specify cheese. You can just say Protoss. If my ladder experiences are anything to go by, the cheese is implied.

I have a proxy mothership rush that hits around 5-6 minutes (its on one base but a nexus is made on the other side of the map, hence the proxy bit) so it's quite nice to see any form of mothership rush. (edit: I do think it needs to be on two base as it hits early but has no power because we just cant afford anything. and it only would win games because enemy freaks out and doesnt have enough aa so im able to widdle the army down enough to be okish) and im in such a low rank that you can win with anything (diamond 1)
would love to see a 'no hot-key' to GM challenge... as in limiting ur APM bu just using mouse, no keyboard

I feel like Uthermal was talking up the game 1 player to hide the fact he was silver.
Idea for this series for you Mark. Similar to this one using a mothership to recall to their base, but try and bait the opponents army out of their base first. Hide the mothership, then bring you army across the map and make it seem like you are retreating. Then your recall will make it seem like your going home in a panic, but you are actually going straight in to their base.
Indeed. Clever baits and positioning are under-utilized in SC2.
