- Testing an IR tracker to track a stationary target and guide a homing drone. Point and click. No need for FPV pilot. AI does the piloting. Subscribe to see more advanced versions next time.

Curious if I can convert these tests into a full-scale homing drone tested on real world scenarios? I'm getting there, but still saving for hardware and logistics. SUBSCRIBE to support me. Ask like-minded friends to subscribe also.
Great job!
Thanks!
You a genius!!!Greats from Ukraine!
Just patience and a lot of trial and error. :)
@@timelapsecoder ...and "know how"! Your skill let you create such innovative methods and belive me you are unique in this field. Afted watching your vids I've decided to buy 5 tello edu and start searching and learning Python!Your knowledjes are the moon level for me today, but i've turned on opencv with my tello edu this morning..it was great fillings man!
Thanks for the nice words, much appreciated. I try many things and see what sticks. :)
Nice that you have a Tello for learning Python and drone control. The EDU version gives you access to the downward camera so that's another thing you can use (mine is the basic version). I know that feeling of accomplishment the first time that drone takes off under your Python control!
@@timelapsecoderooohh man!I've allready setup bootom camera with opencv, it is black/white, 320×240 BUT it works fine!it is really awsome!I've also trained my small neuronetwork with yolo v5 and it is work fine!Thank you a lot for your great experiments motivated me to try everything you did) I am on the 1 of 99 stages and nube in programing, but i had some visions of my goal and searcing methods to realize it i've found you!)😊
What filter are you using to invert the colors for black and white?
can you share the HUD? i have rest of the stuff but i only lack a good interactive HUD
sorry can't share this private code. i can tell you that the HUD is not special, just a bunch of lines and rectangles in OpenCV, plus mouse events handling. that effort is nothing compared to the work you did coding the PF.
I would be very glad if you give this code,Can you share the code?
Wow, men, it's astonishing. Is there a way to reach and contact you?
I have a one naive question. Whats your color Scalar(R,G,B) values 😅 and which font you are using. Thanks
Not sure which font I used here. Probably just tried a few and picked one I liked. This is on grayscale so no RGB values.
@@timelapsecoder the bounding box and the text are made using the color values those i m taking about.
Probably not completely 255 green as that might look too bright. I remember testing different values.
Is this actually your drone that you are flying to do these tests, or are you using someone else's drone footage? Excellent work, by the way.
This video is using my drone. The vision system is leading the guidance system. Thanks.
@@timelapsecoderwhat sort of hardware would you use to make a better version of this? FPGAs are good but very difficult to work with
@@Pt-kn4ztHigh FPS FPGAs would definitely boost performance. For now, I have a little camera module on my RPI and a cheapo FPV TX so I'll test those.
hi are you usein CSRT tracker or which one ? Thanks
no, i made my own private custom algorithm
great, is it for sell! or can you share it! Thanks :)@@timelapsecoder
Github repo?
i need this to my collage is it for sale ?
Not for sale. For college, you don't need this level of capability. Just use OpenCV tracker(s), learn basic PID, test on a clean environment (for proof video) to minimize failure scenarios, and acknowledge failure scenarios in your report. Submit to professor. :)
@@timelapsecoder thanks this is very helpful
How can I get in touch with you?
Ask your question here.
How can I contact you?
you can type your question here. if something i can answer easily, i'll reply
@@timelapsecoder I have a project I would like to talk with you about.
@@enoch5016 Sorry my friend, I am already quite busy with several ongoing research projects around tracking.
@@enoch5016 my designs are very far away from a working reliable product.
Can you describe your hypothetical situation and its constraints? I'll simulate it and see if solvable by my algorithms and its upgraded versions. If I can make it work, I'll upload a simulation demo.
Hello bro
I need you help me to make my project
I can pay for that
You can't afford me bro
I'm joking
You can find places in the internet where drone experts meet
You can ask there
You will easily get many who can help you
Much better than me

Thanks bro
