I remember getting served by a boy from my school at the local grocery store. We were both 16 and I just walked up, threw down some tampons and a chocolate bar and looked at him dead in the eye. He just giggled and said "I hope you feel better.." it's been 12 years and I still have no shame buying my feminine products.

heres a story i had in my senior year
i started my period, as usual i immediately told my parents, 2 weeks had passed i was with my friends in the cafeteria and there was a echo coming from the school speaker, it was my dad and he said through the speaker " Rosaline Don't Forget your tampons & birth control!!! " after everybody looked at me akwardly and i ran to the bathroom and after school i immediately told my mom what happened at school and she said i could stay home and my friends visited me on the weekends and gave me some chocolate and heat pads
Omg I used to shop at shop n save as a kid! My parents would load us up in my dad's truck and we'd go grocery shopping at shop n save. I live in Maryland lol

When I was a teen mid 90s and dad would go to the shop for mom he knew what I needed pad wise by this: dots were carefree non period pads. Green always light green pack, dark green were always with wings, blue always night. 😂 Over time it was if no dark green get purple. When carefree changed packets it was green box he knew it meant scented carefree. Then purple cardboard was alldays (if stuck and no carefree). I had no idea what alldays was until I was 15 😂 as not all supermarkets stocked them.
In our house we had a bin beside the toilet so we could put our used period and non period pads in it. None of my then friends had bins in their bathroom so I was confused as heck. I assumed all bathrooms had them if there were women in the house. I would panic like heck. Put them wrapped up in tissue or their wrapping in my pants waist then sneak them into my bag until we got to our destination I headed to the loo and disposed of them in a bin beside the loo.
To this day I don't get why bins are not beside toilets in a lot of houses. I know it would be disgusting if not your immediate family's pads but you would have a plastic bag in the bin so when full just tie up the bag and dispose of it.
