Rekordbox DJ Tips & Tricks: How To Reassign Color FX On Pioneer DJ Controllers

- If you have a Pioneer DJ Controller with Color FX (like the DDJ-RX, DDJ-1000, DDJ-RZX or XDJ-RX2) with Pioneer DJ Software, then you can reassign the Color FX buttons with your own personal choices of effects. In this video we show you how to reassign or map the Color FX to your own user preferences, and even show you how you can have a different effect assigned to each of the Color FX controls.

How do I change the master volume direction somehow on my last show, someone changed it
My rekordbox doesnt show cfx menu. And my filter is auto set to flanger so I dont use it at all
Find it at the top of ur rekordbox so it shows

I always do this when I have turntables plugged in, switch out the Pitch FX for Gate/Comp, means you can apply a real time compressor to older vinyl tracks and keep the dynamics consistent
Nice video mate, do you happen to know how to do that but with the fx instead (trans, flanger,echo,roll) I want to change one of them to reverb but I don't know how thanks :D

So I assume that with the DDJ-SZ/ DDJ-SZ2 that this can be done with Serato DJ Pro with the MIDI mapping, is that so?
can you do the same thing (change the color effect) on the ddj 1000SRT?
Hi so I can't use multi mode on DDJ200? would be good if shift button turned channel 1 into channel 3
It maybe possible to assign that with some software, but no, this isn't something that is easy to do.
is that applicable for XDJ-RX series too ?
Hi everyone one you change the color effects in the USER SECTION, how do you save them as default in the user section. Once I close rekordbox my saved effects are gone and not configured as I left them. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

Hello in the fx1 which assigned to other channels for example channel 2.or.1.or 4 in your video this in the channel 3

Not sure if the question has already bien posted but I like to know if there is a way to lock the new selected "user Color" Effect. I change them but it seem if I power the unit off the selected new effect will be lost.
No, I don;t think there is.

How come when I change the colour FX they don’t seem to save, whenever I exit Rekordbox I have to re map them again when I open it again
That's a pain, I'd check on the Pioneer forum to see if anyone else is having the same issue
