- A week in our life through the lens of what we eat in a week for dinner. This week had a really unexpected turn with a trip to the ER for Chloe. I asked our pediatrician's office advice for Chloe's intermittent hip pain and they made me an appointment for early April, but a slip on a box the kids were using for an art project sent Chloe to the ER instead. Thankfully she was seen by a very capable surgeon. We are praying for Chloe's healing! Also we got to unbox some gifts from our UA-cam friends! #largefamilymeals
Praying Chloe has a quick recovery. My dad was always the one that took us to the emergency room. He was always the one that was with us if it was serious. My mom kept things running smoothly at home. I'm not sure why others find that a problem. Dads are quite capable in emergencies. My dad would however be lost trying to keep the household running. Please don't let others tell you and Mark how to raise your children. Whatever works for you is what's best. Your family is quite lovely just the way they are

Prayers for Cloe💞 She is a trooper for sure! Also, now that you have some space downstairs it may be a good idea to stock up on some good soups ramen etc. to have for backups in emergency situations such as this. It would save on money and easy for the kids to prepare if need be.

Oh, gosh, I feel so sorry for Chloe😢 I know this must be scary for her. Trusting in Jesus for her health and healing❤ I so enjoyed baby Neta smiling with a twinkle in her eye as big sister Naomi played peek-a-boo with her. I enjoyed everyone, thank you so much ❤

I hope your daughter heals fast but as a mom with that many I have 8 all grown I always have freezers with things n I can so I'm good I can go bout 3 or more months without shopping yes we would run out of fresh veg but I keep frozen in freezers I have 1 chest 1 upright n 2 fridges with freezers n always have 2 gal frozen only hubby n I but im prepared I keep yeast in freezer n 25ln min flour n sugar n few jars of molasses to make brown sugar if run out n needed

So sorry to hear about Chloe . That does sound painful.wishing her a speedy recovery. Maybe you should have a small stockpile of what I call emergency meals. spaghetti and meatballs is super simple if you used jarred sauce. A brand like Raos is very clean and affordable if you buy it at Costco. Have frozen taco meat in the freezer. Just double your normal taco meat and freeze half. Frozen pizza. Trader Joe’s has great Chinese frozen food. My grandkids love the orange chicken and it is not too expensive. Just a few ideas for simple meals so you don’t have to run to the store while your family is in a emergency. Maybe get a small freezer for the downstairs apartment

I watch a lady , they are cranberry farmers. Jennifer, at A Country Life. She’s always showing easy ways to do freezer meals. She will take a day sometimws and do a bunch. They are large homeschool
Catholic fsmily. Highly recommend! She shows how and has a cookbook even but she gives the recipes generously.

I recognize all those brands. maybe your daughter that bakes I can’t think of her name right now I could start making you some pizza crusts you can freeze them make a lot of them at one time and then on nights like this just get the ingredients for the pizzas that everybody wants and make pizza that would be quick if the pizza dough was already prepared as a pizza crust??

God bless Chloe. As my grandson says things happen. Amber have the Dr check her to see if she has enough vitamin D in her diet. Sometimes they seem fine but could be lacking. Even if you eat well some people don't absorb it well. Sending love and prayers from NC for beautiful Chloe's healing. ❤

Hi. I’m the person that sent the cooking utensil and measuring spoons. The utensil is to mix up meat as it’s cooking, fruit, vegetables. You just rotate it in the meat to break it up. A lot easier than a fork. ( Some extra help for Marco) I sent an Amazon package for Naomi. Did she get it? Love your videos and your family. Thank you for being so genuine. Get well wishes to Chloe. She’ll bounce back in no time. My son broke his growth plate in his foot when he was younger.

@audreyannelanfranchi6642 Yes, I am always extra friendly with the postal workers around here because they have it particularly rough. I think past complaints have led to the bullet proof protection and so forth.

You could invest in some bulk storage containers for flour sugar oats rice etc. things you use all the time. Costco sell large airtight containers and the large bags of the products. That way. Always have stock
They haven't had the space. They have home schooling books in their kitchen cupboards. Now that they have the use of the bottom apartment, they could do that, plus there is also a fridge down there so they can store extra milk. They have a tour of the bottom apartment that you can watch. 😊

Maybe you should see doctors outside of the city so you can get appts when you need them. Since you have a vehicle you could multitask and do groceries or something while you’re out of town.

Forever on the fridge. Forever! I use to have chickens. You wouldn’t believe how old
Eggs are when you get them in the store and then the long shelf life after. It’s like 3 months an can last if kept properly. I use to break

Into ziplocks and freeze for times when. I wasn’t getting as many eggs. Works fine! Id fill up a gallon ziploc half way for using to scramble. Fill up
Small ziploc with 2-3 ea for baking needs.

Pins are often not removed once they're put in...i have one in my hip and it was s very painful process and she needs to stay stationary untill it i set!! Did they schedule her a follow up appointment with the orthopedic surgeon that did her surgery? Perhaps he can assist with her problems of limping. Limping is a very serious problem its usually coming from an area that is being compensated for.. this could be her life long if its not addressed properly and promtly with the added benefit of therapy. I speak from both of these issues with personal experience!! The limping could be coming from her one leg now being drawn and shorter than the other. I pray the orthopedic can intervene and get to the bottom of this ❤

Why are you telling Amber and Marco how to look after Chloe? They have managed to raise polite, happy, talented children to this point I'm sure they can manage to look after Chloe. You were very condescending and at a time that was already stressful. Advice can be great but not in the way you gave it.

It almost sounds like Chloe had what we learned once with our oldest son, toxic synovitis. He also presented with hip pain and trouble walking. Wishing Chloe a full recovery.

Wow! We can stay with our children in the UK,we don't leave our kids. They will provide chairs or folding beds for us to stay.
That’s so nice! Marc did stay all night. So grateful for his help because I needed to nurse Neta at home.
@TheHappyCaravan When my 2nd son was in hospital, my mother stayed with him as it was easier than watching the other 3 children. She got 3 meals a day and loved it.😂😂😂
It's also fab that in the UK that you don't pay when you are ill as its paid for through our tax system. I worried constant about my 4 children. You and Marco are amazing ,I have no idea how you manage with so many kids.

Yes! My son had this happen they liken it to the ice cream coming off the cone! His hip ball actually fell into his hip pocket? Can’t think of the name I’m thinking off lol but yes nothing to be totally alarmed about but his screw stays in and he has had no problems even plays h.s.football
But also thinking of you saying a viral infection with a limp my older son would get strep in his joints instead of his throat he was in kindergarten walking like a 90 year old! Hope she is doing well after her surgery and she will be back up and running in no time

I was watching your video like I do and you said about Advil. I guess you haven't been made aware that Advil, Aleve or any ibuprofen products eat your stomach lining. I found this out through my sister in-law who was having stomach surgery. The Dr. told her this. Most would not say anything. I just wanted to let you know about Ibuprofen. Tylenol is better for your stomach. Some people say it doesn't help them. But they don't give it a chance to work. I don't mean to tell you all what to take. I just thought you should know. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing.😊
Yes! I think the doctor wanted us to use ibuprofen because it helps with inflammation but we definitely need to be careful!
Tylenol and ibuprofen, Advil work differently. There are times ibuprofen is absolutely necessary and luckily it shouldn't cause issues unless you're taking quite a bit long term
- a chronic pain patient who has had multiple orthopedic surgeries (plus my parents are medics 😊)
Have her drink milk or eat some something with it. She will be fine, she has good diet and hopefully it won’t be long term. I sure hate to hear this. I been concerned about her, as I’m sure you have as well. I live where it takes forever to get into see a doctor!

I know what she's going through cuz 1973 it happened to me and they ended up putting pins in my hip and then they took them out but as I got older I ended up having more surgeries with it and now I'm hopefully she don't get no infections in it because she gets infections and she's going to have problems with it off and on through her life but if she don't then she's going to have a good time and be able to walk and do whatever she wants just tell her to be careful with it
