Our govts depend heavily on revenue from 1) Petrol taxes 2) Liquor 3) Electricity bills etc because they can make money from across all sections of people irrespective of caste/economic condition of a person. They can rake money from auto wala to a Millionaire. If our govts promote solar or electric vehicles or ban liquor, that directly hits the govt khajana. So, they will never want to subsidise these.
Imagine a situation where a 10 rupee tablet can cure kidney failure. All the dialysis centres will hate it and fight against it with all kinds of allegations against 10 rupee tablet claiming that it’s hazardous to health. That’s the reason why health care and medicines in America is so expensive and that’s also the reason for exponential growth of medical tourism in India.
What is required to done may not be done because of some other underlying obligations.

Doctor garu, my age ia 66 years. I suffered frequent cold, sore throat, dry caugh, blowing mucous from nose n spitting phelgum more than 35 to 40years upto the age of 65years. After using cloves regularly for one month almost during Feb2004, I am relieved completely. For cleaning my nose owing to cold, I used to use 5 to 6 kerchiefs daily.
