Amazing finished product! I tried my first floetrol cell dye today with my daughter and we had mixed results, definitely learned some lessons. This is very helpful, thanks!
I love this man, i just did a broad angle design with neon pink orange and yellow. I REALLY liked the mix. Going to redye a disc that wasnt very saturated and am going to try a variation on that lava cell design. Thanks for all you do my guy!
I've noticed you always use 3 in 1 silicone oil- how essential is that? Have you had better/more consistent results with that particular brand? My local hardware store had a different brand and I'm worried I grabbed inferior stuff
How does the dyed floetrol sit on top of the base floetrol so cleanly? When I pour my colored floetrol into the white base, it submerges under the base.
The prochem sheet says to add some oil when mixing the dye. Do you add it to each dye when they're mixed and add use it with the poker, or do you just use it when you use the poker for the honeycomb pattern?
Okay thank you. At first I got the 9”X 13” thinking it was gonna work but too short on the width. Just ordered some 11”X 13”, with inside dims if 9.24” X 11 3/4”. I’m hoping that should work fine. Thanks again, your videos inspired me. I’m using Idye poly, with your chem chart. Any feed from any one using the Idye poly?
It works!!!!!! Idk how to add a pic but your instructions were spot on my man. Thank you!!!!!
Glad you got some good results!
Exams come first! But damn... these are gorgeous. Looking forward to experimenting.
You have helped me a ton, learning how to develop different beds and color patterns. Thank you very much.
Happy to help!
Thank you so so much! You’re videos are incredibly informative. Artists helping artists. This is the way

Beautiful

Great video !!
That's badass!
thanks man!
I must have missed it but what are you dipping the comb in sir?
Whoah
Silicone!
Do you throw away the bottles when done or are you able to clean and reuse those with more dye?
Awesome, one question though, do the colors fade eventually like other dyes tend to do?
Yes
Why is this disc in for 1.5 hours instead of the usually 4 I thought you use to do? Also how far above your disc is your heat lamp?

3 in 1 is the best. You can get decent results with other stuff, but nothing compares to 3 in 1

I'm just starting to dye myself. I noticed if you pour super slowly, it'll sit on top.

The only oil is on the poker
@@LilbotDiscGolf Thanks, that's really helpful!
It looks like you reuse the pan, how do you clean and remove all of the floetrol from previous dyes? It doesn't all go down the sink drain does it?
Used stuff goes back into a jug and then to the recycling center
Whats pro chem? Is it the type of dye?
What size is that foil tray?
11x17

11X13 is still too tight in the size. I’ll have to order the 11X17 now for that perfect clearance.
Thanks.
