I like Jeffrey Gall very much, he has wonderfully balanced intensity in all voice registers, which can not be heard today by many young countertenors...
The best performance of Ruggerio's aria I ever heard!!!! Once I asked an Italian guy what does it mean 'Che bel moritri in Sen' because Google translator gives out 'What a beautiful death in Sen'. An Italian guy said: that means it is wonderful to die when your head lies upon a woman's chest. He added 'Sen' is an obsolete word meaning bosom, chest, bust, breast.... I believe he is right, because french 'sein' means the same.
Timbre and even style-wise he's clearly not of today's taste, but in terms of technique, he's probably one of the most solid ones. We can hear a full projection of the voice despite its rather natural acidity (for lack of a better word). Most of all the air flow is continuous. I've always liked his singing though I did not understand why at first due to his strange timbre. Dominique Visse is another great example of weird sounding falsettist but with great technique. For Tenors, definitely Kobie Van Rensburg, extremely intelligent singer and actor.

He was one of my professors in undergrad. A remarkable performer, teacher, and mentor. :)

Kobie Van Rensburg is easily one of my favorites. Immensely musical and expressive performer.
My favourite countertenor.
Wonderful.
Listen him singing "Chi può mirare ..." (Flavio, re de' Longobardi).Absolutely fantastic!
@dethman351 Yeah it's a guy. He's a countertenor, and he makes like triple the cash of a regular male singer because he can sing those high notes.
