I actually have the LE Smith Buttons punch bowl (minus the stand) and I've cherished it for years. The glass cake plate you purchased is just lovely!! I was glued to this video just admiring all the beautiful pieces. Believe it or not, I was lucky enough to purchase the entire set of 6 Spode Blue Room Zoological plates a few months ago in the original box, I was over the moon 🌝 I have never found them in an Antique Mall. I do not own a punch bowl but I’m thinking of picking one up now after seeing all the displays, just awesome 😎

Isn’t it amazing how economical it is to buy vintage linen. I bought a huge Irish linen table cloth and two, yes only two were available, matching napkins, for a grand total of $10 Canadian, last week at an estate sale. Planning a dinner party at the start of October when it will get its first outing with my new Royal Crown Derby Mikado, blue and white on the white linen, it will be divine! Thanks for all your inspiration to use our beautiful finds.

Thank you for the walk about in the antique shop. I saw so many oos and ahs that I would have loved to have the opportunity to buy. You found some great pieces to take home.
When I go thrifting I will pick up the hand made lace and crocheted pieces. I am amazed and saddened at the cheap prices when I know how much work went into these things. I watched my Portuguese mother and sister in law make linen from the beginning, getting the fibers of the plant and spinning them into thread then weaving on the large machine.

Nantucket basket pattern by Wedgwood is amazing. I always loved getting popcorn balls as a Halloween treat, my older sister was very good at making those delicious treats too.

Hi Mary Beth, I started watching you a few weeks ago and really enjoy your videos. I've learned so much from you. Thanks to you, I've been looking at and bringing out many of the serving dishes and other gifts that I got for my wedding 35 years ago and appreciating them again. Also, I've been thrifting a bit and found an American Fostoria sugar bowl on a little shelf with some dust for $2.00! Yay! One question though, I know you have many beautiful cake plates and I've noticed they don't have a domed cover. How do you store your cakes? I have one with a dome and it's on my kitchen counter. I use it daily to keep any extra donuts or cookies and the occasional cake 🎂 fresh.

I grew up with Franciscan Ivy as our everyday pattern. Yet, I don’t recall the Lucy connection. Guess the black and white tv muted the colors. I’m sure my mother must have known.
There were a few areas of the store still extending a discount. Though, this booth owner is the exception and did not participate in the sale. Pleased with the $14.22 price. 😀
Yes, all Waterford is acid etched with the logo. Some marks can be faint. It’s rare that a piece misses the mark. Look at the bottom of the biscuit barrel in the daylight and under a lamp to find. It may be faint.
