It's funny how preferences differ. When I first listened to this song, I was like "wow, the intro really has some power, but that riff at 1:00 really needs to go". I don't like that riff, AT ALL!
William Davis imo, James has taken the spot of King of the Riff from Tony Iommi. Like Lars has said, James just tuning his guitar, spits out two albums worth of new riffs.
This song, among many others, has helped me recover from a nasty, decade-long opiod addiction. Thank you, all artists, for bringing beautiful music to the masses. Rock on, one love ❤️
+STFUImBigBoned Eh, kinda, but not too much. Personally, I couldn't really get into anything past Ride The Lightening until this album came out. But then again, I've always liked Megadeth more.
I was born same year Metallica was, I changed, get older, we all did.... and I always say - there is no bad Metallica' song, only good songs, great songs and epic songs. This album is hard as #### And, isn't it better that band creates different types of songs during career or all music should be same for f##### 40 years...
Metallica is such a break through band I don't know the age of many of you gals and guys here, But I am 43 I was a fan through my Brother (older) they did not have songs even played on the radio until really (one) from Justice. They were huge before they even got radio play and MTV dang sure was not letting them on TV. Just goes to show how powerful there music was for mine and my Brothers generations. Before I get blasted I do think Metallica was played a little bit in the Bay area on radio, but outside of that nothing yet all my friends had there shirts, tapes, albums. They grew strong through word of mouth like a wild fire that raged across the planet! 4 albums counting garage days with no help from media until the Justice album. To me that says so much for a band!
Haha im about 16 and have been jaming to metallica and guys like nervana and system of a down i grew up with this and they are just something special deffinetly best band
MY 15 YR OLD SON PLAYED METALLICAS " ONE " IN 1989-90 & I HAVE BEEN HOOKED EVER SINCE ! I AM NOW 63 & MY SON IS 43 , & WE ARE STILL DIE HARD METALLICA PEOPLE !!
I’m currently 14, I remember when this was released back in 2008 , cause I was 4 and I remember head banging in my little car seat and mum and dad singing along to it. Fuck and it’s been 10 years since then, I feel old
+Anna Mouradian What I noticed about this album is that it really grows on you, you have to listen to each song maybe 5+ times then you really start to dig it.
+Anna Mouradian People hating this album are just stuck in the past. This album is fucking awesome, saying this is not good is lying. For me it's a great record \m/
I've listened to all of Metallica's albums, and although I prefer the earlier albums. this album has some very powerful songs ( Like this one) That intro riff at 1.00 is sick
And Bleeding Me, and Mama Said, and Hero of the Day, and Until it Sleeps, and Fuel, and The Memory Remains, and Frantic, and St. Anger, and Shoot Me Again, and...
My favorite song on this album. I play it when I need some motivation. All the haters are not true Metallica fans. Times change, people change, music changes. Stop looking for the next Master of Puppets. They are one of the very few heavy metal bands to take risks and make different albums. Their first three albums were perfect slabs of thrash, which they basically helped invent. I’m happy they didn’t make the same shit over and over.
Fists closed tight. Air punching the asshole who almost killed me. Smirking at his face - because he couldn’t break me. That’s what this song means to me.
Remember when metallica wrote music and not just generic load era riffs? Death magnetic is their last thrash classic. Hardwired and 72 seasons just had some good songs in them.
Lars is the best drummer a band could have, so don't hate on his snares(plus i'm 14 and never heard of metallica, until last year in 8th grade), so like i said DON'T hate on lars' snares
+Trent Stines Well yeah, because Portnoy was there since they started. Mangini only made the two most recent albums. Both were good and had some memorable songs.
The only thing bad about this is the "clipping" issue that is on all the physical releases. Pick up the digital format and that distortion issue goes away.
At 1:00 is one of the best riffs I've ever heard. Seriously
yea it really makes the whole sing kick ass
It's funny how preferences differ. When I first listened to this song, I was like "wow, the intro really has some power, but that riff at 1:00 really needs to go". I don't like that riff, AT ALL!
William Davis idk why but it kinda gives me a tornado of souls vibe
0:40 is just as good
William Davis imo, James has taken the spot of King of the Riff from Tony Iommi. Like Lars has said, James just tuning his guitar, spits out two albums worth of new riffs.
This song, among many others, has helped me recover from a nasty, decade-long opiod addiction. Thank you, all artists, for bringing beautiful music to the masses. Rock on, one love ❤️
Fucked up part is now i want opioids and worse part they only make pain go away but not brain pains i even fail at doing drugs -_-
Hell ya brother me too keep fighting 🤘❤️
God damn, death magnetic has some awesome riffs. This album is more like "Riff magnetic"
NaemiQ true
Dont damn it than,
Hell yeah!!!
Very hot
Death Magnetic is such a kick ass album
Seriously. The people who only like the first 4 albums are missing out.
+STFUImBigBoned Eh, kinda, but not too much. Personally, I couldn't really get into anything past Ride The Lightening until this album came out. But then again, I've always liked Megadeth more.
+STFUImBigBoned this is the first good album since the black album
+Trent East you like Megadeth more? Sad.
emcee 98 Megadeth is better man
Metallica really brought themselves back with this album
back??? they never left
How is this bad? This is actually good.
Toornap Tarraa some people are very stupid and this song explains struggles and some people don't know the struggles in life
Who's saying it's bad?
Only haters will say bad things
Even all are good.. We human is different..its normal

Metallica music makes me strong
me too
Best part 0:00- 6:26
hmmm yes
no 0:00 to 6:26 is better
@@Trent170 don't you agree with me?
1:00 is best part
This song and a heavy squat/deadlift session is fucking epic!!!!
correcto 💪
Xekatez at 3am. Outside. In December.
Makes me want to do push-ups
Death Magnetic is a great album to work out to tbbh

Those are the bands you want to follow. They didn't force the following they have, they earned it, and they earned it well
I’m currently 14, I remember when this was released back in 2008 , cause I was 4 and I remember head banging in my little car seat and mum and dad singing along to it.
Fuck and it’s been 10 years since then, I feel old
dang that sounds like an amazing childhood
I was 16, how old do I feel?
Not very, this track takes me back everytime .
Mate it sounds like you had an intense Rocking out childhood 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💀💀💀💀
Similar age, but I used this song to escape my parents 😭
10 years old and my dad picks me up from school early just to listen to this album the day it came out. Forever loved Metallica since
i love this song so much, dat riffage though... lyrics are catchy too :D
Metallica is doing fine. It's not 1986 anymore. Get over it. Deal with it.
1986 is over. Metallica is still bad ass. This album and Hardwired. Are awesome albums. Hell I even like St. Anger
In the world who? What metal band did you know? Nowadays?
How about no
'89
"new metallica is not good" how is this not good
+Anna Mouradian What I noticed about this album is that it really grows on you, you have to listen to each song maybe 5+ times then you really start to dig it.
I know
They to a bad path to go
+Anna Mouradian People hating this album are just stuck in the past. This album is fucking awesome, saying this is not good is lying. For me it's a great record \m/
***** It's a riff bible lol, i have the whole album on my mp4 to tell you how i love this album ! Rock on bro \m/
This fucking song is the SHIT! It's my daily anthem.
i can imagine this song in the exact same sound/tone as and justice for all, awesome stuff
Best part: "Rise, Fall, Down
There helping me go through hell at school
School is hell what u talking about
They're*
I never payed much attention to this album. Going back and really listening to the songs. Holy shit this song is good.
THAT MAIN RIFF
My favorite death magnetic song
It's like a motivational pill when i feel low.
Fucking genius!
WE DIE HARD !
Best album since justice. Shits raw af.
"Old Metallica is terrible" Who ever says that obviously hasn't listen to this song.
But... this is new Metallica...
MrMetal457, PandaMan4450 was just stating a fact. It's true.
This is new Metallica - it has nothing to do with the nonexistent group of people hating on old Metallica.
This album... how more i listend it how more i love this album... The Tallica boys rules...
Some of their best lyrics...incredible song altogether.
When life hits me in the face, Metallica are my cornermen, telling me how hit back!!
Metallica seems to have gone back to their old roots. Regardless love all the albums, KEEP ON ROCKING METALLICA!
This song is so Bada** I just had to buy it the first few times I listened to it. Seriously has one of the coolest riffs I’ve ever heard. 🤘🏻
The RIFF is sick.
"You're listening to MICHAEL SAVAGE!" I love this song.
Awesome album, very underrated
I've listened to all of Metallica's albums, and although I prefer the earlier albums. this album has some very powerful songs ( Like this one) That intro riff at 1.00 is sick
Love this song nothing more than a reflection of life itself
James won't let up with the riffs
Such an underrated song!
Such a meaningful song
Destroys “Eye Of The Beholder”
This is applicable for covid!! What don't kill ya makes ya more strong!!! And we die hard!! Like if u agree
I don't recognize any metallica music between the years 1992-2004 because of good reasons. death magnetic was underrated. James vocals are on point
Then you're missing the beauty of "Outlaw Torn", "Fixxer", and "The Unnamed Feeling"
And Bleeding Me, and Mama Said, and Hero of the Day, and Until it Sleeps, and Fuel, and The Memory Remains, and Frantic, and St. Anger, and Shoot Me Again, and...
@@AtlasGuitar some really good songs in that era. Even tho it may be the worst time period for Metallica they still made some great music.
@@elliottyoung5552 Even Metallica at their worst is still a hell of a lot better than a lot of music.
Bad reasons.
Hard day busting my balls doing manual labor at work. This song says it all.
I headbanged my traumatic daddy issues away with this album. METALLICA FOR LIFE!
Love it.
Once again Metallica outdid themselves.
The best song of the band
Best song on the album
This seems to be a popular least favorite from Death Magnetic, how? This is probably my favorite from the album.
This song is most definitely my favorite. Most people just seem to think the line "what don't kill ya make ya more strong" is silly.
@@AtlasGuitar it hits hard
The day that never comes
Cyanide and End Of The Line are the worst.
If this came out in the 80's around the time of Die Hard, you know it would of been in the opening credits or the ending credits.
Underrated album!
If I were to ride a horse with a calvalry or march with an army, the beginning to 3:50 is what I would be listening to
James' best vocal performance on this album.
Death Magnetic was the first album in a while in which I loved every song. Beyond magnetic was awesome as well. I can't wait for the next album!
grate song
My favorite song on this album. I play it when I need some motivation. All the haters are not true Metallica fans. Times change, people change, music changes. I LIKE THIS SONG
This motivation
Awesome!
I already played that on my Channel and it's one of Metallica's best songs in my opinion!
It's so powerful!
The songs message is me: keeps getting knocked down, but never gives up
My cardio exercise song
Everyone who says that this album is bad, actually listen to the songs and then decide if it is bad or not.
While many are worried about coronavirus i listen to rock
Metallica, all in,you go first ,take double, yeah all smiles.
God damn! 🤘
This song better be on a Mad Max movie real soon...it is perfect
New lifes motto
when you work hard af and the next day you show up to work still sore from yesterday this was you listen to at work at least that's what I'm doing.
While everyone worries about coronavirus im HERE listening to metallica
U still alive?
and people say metallica is always negative. This song is the spirit of being an american. LOVE IT
Fists closed tight. Air punching the asshole who almost killed me. Smirking at his face - because he couldn’t break me. That’s what this song means to me.
we fucking die hard !
Hey this is the theme song for the Michael Savage Show
5:20 Full Chorus
Lars is great at the snares he does
Pittsburgh game 6 rally song. we want the damn cup. yes!yes!yes!
The 3rd song on DM,is better than the 3rd song on AJFA..
Look up the remastered version for this album sound sway better
Sounds
Y’all Death magnetic hits soooo GD hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
⚰️ 🧲
1:16
if shit ever happened in ur life, dis song is just a fucking remedy dor u
metallica is came to back?
Adjust the EQ !!!!!
Remember when metallica wrote music and not just generic load era riffs? Death magnetic is their last thrash classic. Hardwired and 72 seasons just had some good songs in them.
my penguins rally song. Cleveland needs to take this song. as their war song. let's go!
"What doesn't kill you, make's you monster" sounds more badass instead of "What doesn't kill you, make's you stronger"...
No it doesnt
When Dodge brings back the Viper they should use this song
What about things that kill you inside?
Veu 😊
Y dicen que el ''nuevo'' Metallica no es bueno, plis...
But we die hard
reminds me a bit of Nine Inch Nails. But good.
Lars is the best drummer a band could have, so don't hate on his snares(plus i'm 14 and never heard of metallica, until last year in 8th grade), so like i said DON'T hate on lars' snares
You have a LOT to learn. Go listen to "2112" by Rush or "The Glass Prison" by Dream Theater for real drumming skill.
Trent Stines
if you enjoy drumming why not.
+Trent Stines Mike Portnoy was a goddamn genius. But the new drummer they have now is good too.
Opticillusion160
Yeah, but Mike Portnoy wrote Dream Theater's best songs.
+Trent Stines Well yeah, because Portnoy was there since they started. Mangini only made the two most recent albums. Both were good and had some memorable songs.

The only thing bad about this is the "clipping" issue that is on all the physical releases. Pick up the digital format and that distortion issue goes away.
@d.salamander think of the worst way to die times 10...
El crayon oplongo
I prefer the live version.
probably one of the main things that dissappoint about the newer albums from metallica....the lyrics became incredibly bad
Are you fucking serious? The lyrics of this song are amazing.
+derkohones I agree. Example: "What don't kill ya, make ya more strong". More strong? That entire line bugs the shit out of me.
+Flip86 suicide and redemption had the best lyrics
Flip86 because you is dumb
derkohones no The Unforgiven 3 , The Day That Never Comes , Halo on Fire has brilliant lyrics
Minute 3:50 is Amaizing
Luke of you love it.
