- The Mazda MX-5 Miata is the best sports car under $40,000 because it has enhanced driving dynamics from a 50/50 weight distribution, g vectoring control plus, and Kinematic Posture Control.
It also has a great power to weight ratio with the 2.0 L SkyActiv G engine with 181 horsepower and 151 pound feet of torque. The RF (retractable fastback) goes 0 to 60 MPH in 5.8 seconds.
And of course the MX-5 Roadster is a convertible. The RF gives a unique open air feel when the top is back.

Mazda is finally building Miatas again. My 22 Club RF went down the assembly line yesterday!!
I love this car! Mazda is the best!
YES!!!
I drive a NC and the 50/50 weight is amazing especially when drifting.
Awesome!
How tall are you?
@@causeyoudontneedtolookatme 6,3 187cm
@@causeyoudontneedtolookatme my roommate is small and he almost can’t see above the dash lol
@@pindadopje0162 Do you feel comfortable in the interior? My height is 188 cm.
I want this car, but i will say, the price of that is within the range of other two door sports car. While the others atleast offer a lot more space lol even two backseats.
I wouldn’t wanna pay too much for such small space, i hesitate but i know I’d love to have one too.
I have the same colour
if you wanna get technical, also a fun fact, Mazda designed the RF to achieve 50-50 weight distribution with the top DOWN. when the top is on the weight is just slightly off, not noticeable while driving obviously but I think it's clever Mazda decided the top should be down and tucked between the Trunk and seats to achieve the balance.
@brandonjohn4326 I think it's worth it. Paid 26k for a used 17 in late 2019. I put 7k down and financed the rest. Sold it last summer and made about 12k after paying off my remaining loan. I didn't want to sell but I just bought a truck and 2 motorcycle and needed the room, and it just wasn't getting driven a lot, so hopefully someone else is enjoying her now. Not to mention I still have my 90 and my 04 msm. But I loved the car. If you are good with simplicity and not a ton of room you will enjoy it. Dollar for dollar, it's the best driving experience you will have, idk if you've ever driven a miata but they are engaging and the steering and suspension are very responsive.
@brandonjohn4326 oh yea I would 100% scoop one up especially if it's not gonna be your daily and if you got it like that I'd go for it. I bought mine for a daily so I could work on my other miatas lol.
What color is this ?
Wrong transmission choice but otherwise I don’t disagree with you Jonathan
We’ve had a lot of automatics recently. 😁
@delano are you actually saying the automatic is the right choice?
@@JohnPaulWaltonRetronyms no, the automatic is awful. It completely neuters the driving experience
@@jameswillard1 the auto is great wtf you on about 😂
@@jameswillard1 Sure, manuals are better or worst in some cases. Not every WANTS to learn manual. It isn't a criteria in life anyways and hell no one is forced or obligated to do so. I myself a manula driver doesn't at all care what transmission you drive, just making others miserable if you're down their neck about what's better. A car is a car at the end of the day, shouldn't make it your personality
On the side it looks like a Supra
While I agree, the Miata has a lot of competition for the best sports car with the BRZ/GR86, Z, and Supra. (The Supra will be discounted below 40,000 when the Z hits the road.)
I’m curious to see how they all pan out.
@@JSShow it all pans out apparently, is that the Supra isn’t really $40K, and hardly anybody wants the Z. So the Miata is still the best sports car under $40K, and realistically at any price.
YUCK, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Idk man, the BRZ/86 are a little less and have more power, and put it down very well.
