Thank you for watching 🧡 I'm not a fan..I think it's a farfetched interpretation of the classic Kelly which looks quite disproportionate. I do like the idea but I think the wide rectangle shape makes it quite unflattering when worn crossbody 🤷🏻♂️
Great idea using a bracelet. I use my hermes olga bag charm to extend mine! What size is your Avalon pillow?
Using the Olga charm is a fantastic and chic idea..I struggle to understand why Hermes would discontinue such a popular piece 🤷🏻♂️ It's the Avalon III in Small 🍊
Nice! How do the mini Kellys compare to the Kelly Danse? I like how casual and versatile that bag seems to be while retaining a lot of the classic Hermès features. I’d like to see you do a video on some of the bags sold under the men’s section at Hermès. Of course any bag can be worn by anybody, but there are some interesting designs in the men’s section that I’d like to hear your thoughts on. Maybe also a video on discontinued styles that you like. 😀
Great question..I find the Danse to be a farfetched interpretation of the original Kelly. It's much more casual than the Mini and also larger in size. While I do like the idea of the Danse, I find it to be unproportionate..especially when worn crossbody. There's actually a video coming up shortly on my favorite discontinued pieces 🤫

Informative video. :) I just did a quick mock-up to see the size. Do you think that a pair of normal size sunglasses would fit inside? I sold my Chanel WOC because I couldn't fit them in without causing stress on the leather. I agree with you that a Kelly 25 looks oddly out of proportion. Thanks for the tip on where to purchase an insert.
I'm afraid they wouldn't 🙊 You could maybe wiggle a smaller pair in and lay them diagonal but it would be a struggle to take them in and out. Perhaps you could slid them in-between the area on either side where the sangles meet the body of the bag? And have the sunglasses hang on the outside of the bag..could be an innovative bag accessory 🧡

Completely off topic, but OMG, finally someone who takes "travel toothbrushes" in his bag, too 😍😂! I've done that since my school days (and back then, I got enough strange looks when I brushed my teeth (guess who has the naturally healthy teeth now 😉😁)); now, when I'm out for just a few hours, I don't always take one with me, but I for sure do if I don't know how long I'm gone 😊!

I love this bag!!! I think that I mentioned in my unboxing for my kelly 28 video, that my SA is actively trying to convince me that I don't want a Kelly 25 because I carry so much. A mini Kelly is definitely a no go for that reason but I still want a kelly 25 even through its so impractical for me. Do you have a K25 Sellier? If so, can you show what fits. If you also own a retourne maybe you can do a comparison!?
I'm personally not a fan of the B or K 25..I find them to look way out of proportion on my frame, yet I love the K20. It's probably the only bag that has been offered to me in many different leathers and I have not been able to turn any one of them down. Though I have to admit that the K25 fits considerably more, as the body of the bag is much wider and taller 🍊
@@IamGPSThat's interesting. So you think that the K25 is too big or too small for your frame? I'm assuming too big since you prefer the mini kelly. I guess it's difficult to get a sense of proportions on camera. Ultimately it comes down to what we're attracted to. I'm tiny but I love big bags. My B30 and K28 are always stuffed to the brim.
I find that the K25 looks very "out of place" on me for lack of a better term. It's not that it's too big or too small..it always looks like I'm carrying someone else's bag. I'd describe it as putting a baby elephant in a stroller 🤷🏻♂️😅
thanks for sharing on the jennykraft insert. i just got offered a mini kelly ii and now trying to get the customised insert. Can i ask if your length & width are the same throughout the whole insert or did you ask narrow the length and width at the top given the shape of the kelly (that the length and width get narrower and narrower from bottom to top)?

@@jlm2122 Hi! It all depends on what you're looking for. I personally love the shape and look of the Mini 🙋🏻♂️ but it's not comparable to a 25. The jump in terms of size and proportions between the Mini and 25 is huge. If your offer ends up coming through certainly have a look at it and see how you like it but I wouldn't recommend you buy a bag just because it's rare..I've made that mistake one too many time 🙈

It was too long for my liking..definitely prefer 105 🍊

Thank you for watching. I’m afraid I disagree, there are indeed mini bags that are too small to be practical but the Mini Kelly is certainly not, at least not for me. I find it to be the perfect size to carry all my daily essentials 🧡
That’s a great temporary fix -the Behapi. But like you, I definitely needed a longer strap for crossbody wear on my Kelly.
I love these smaller versions of the classic Kelly. 💕
I've been testing different bracelets and chains to extend the strap of my Mini Kellys for over 2 years now, and I've been happiest with the Behapi. I ordered a longer strap for one of my other Minis but it's been taking so long that I think I'll just stick with my DIY Behapi extension long-term😅 I do too, they did an incredible job on the Mini II 👏🏻
Yes please! Could you please share the dimensions? I just realised having an insert in mine will probably be a good idea as I'm seeing some scratches already from reaching in to grab certain things.

@@IamGPS Hmm I just measured mine, the width is a little confusing. I got 2 inches if measuring the gusset, but 2.25 when measuring the base. I'm guessing its because the bag does have that sag on both sides for more room on the bottom.
I did notice that It fits really snug in yours, would you recommend having a tight fit to maximise space usage? were you able to fit things in the side pocket still?
Oh and another thing, since you brought it up again in this video. Did you order the 105cm strap from Hermes? was it considered a "repair" per se or a separate order aka a stand alone item? I'm just worried my SA won't know what I'm talking about if I do ask for one.

My insert is pretty tight-fitting, which I do actually enjoy because it not only supports the structure of the bag but also maximizes the little space the Mini has. You can definitely request yours to be a bit smaller but I've personally never had an issue closing my Minis and still have access to the back pocket.
I did order the extra strap through my SA but I'm not sure how they submitted the order. I'm sure it wasn't through the Hermes After Sales team that usually deals with repairs and SPA, as when I asked them for an update a while back they mentioned that it's done through a separate department. I'd just explain to your SA what you're trying to do. They have a standard form for these requests that you need to fill out and they'll look up the bag in question on your profile for a proof of purchase and serial number 🍊 No worries 😉
