The 18 has been on my to get list since a long time. This video has convinced me i need to get This once travel restrictions are lifted. Saw it in a store for 75 euro's but didnt get it back then ... big regret
Horst, you absolute beast. Great to see a re-review of this one as it's a favourite of mine. I don't think it's changed since your first review but it's become a bit more available. Expensive but worth it today as it's actually come down in price. A great example of quality Speyside whisky.
I like your reviews a lot Horst, but i think it is better to let that whisky open up a little, they say a minute in the glass for each year in the cask.. giving an opinion from your first sip from the neck pour isnt very representative
@@rackslap it was a store in Sugar Land TX that closed down. What I found was the store owner was disorganized. He had 2 Aultmore 18 years. One priced at 100 USD and then another one priced at $130 a foot away mixed in with some other Scotches on a different shelf. I quietly grabbed the 100 one and paid super fast.
@@rackslap It's good in the $100 to $130 range but $150 pre-tax not so much for me. I got some waxy notes similar to Clynelish 14 year as well as some light caramel cookie and hint of chocolate. Some barley flavor too. A very nice dram but not $150+ good.
