Hoping that you notice my comment, kindly check the area in E-Rodriguez Quezon City near Trinity Asia University the squatters there put barricade on the bike lane to made it as there own parking lot. I tried reporting it to the barangay but I think the people in the barangay live in the squatters area. Some of them uses the side walk as their own public market. Thank you.
Is there no chance of installing softer barriers like rubber nets or similar? So, instead of concrete ones that pose a hazard, the softer barriers (would technically) be less hazardous and avoids private vehicles in the bus lane to serve and escape to the normal traffic?
When they removed the barriers from the flyovers and tunnels, they put bollards there. They were hit and destroyed in a very short time 🤦 And I'm sure you've seen the plastic bollards for bike lanes, flyover splits etc.. people just drive straight over them. I remember when the bus lane was just new. They used the orange plastic barriers, but people were literally nudging them out of the way with their cars, so they could get into the bus lane 🤦 I'm not trying to dismiss the idea. There probably is some kind of solution. Just gotta find one that works with so many entitled and stubborn drivers / riders.

I own a car, motorcycle, and a bicycle. I drive and ride them all regularly everywhere including edsa. I have my driver's license and started driving way back 2016 and never have a single traffic violation. Even when I ride my bicycle, i can proudly say that I abide all traffic rules and regulations, and impose total self discipline even when I ride my fat burner vehicle. All the same thing when I drive my car and ride my motorcycle. Ever since the existence of that bus lane, my tires never tried to land and roll on those particular lane. Also when the motorcycle lane exist, I never tried to get off that particular lane when riding my motorcycle. With all of my riding and driving experience whether in a car, motorcycle, or bicycle, I can clearly say that I have full understanding in all situations. Definitely, there are totally unfair treatment in motorcycle riders compare to car driver, and more unfair to bicycle riders compare to motorcycle and car riders and drivers. No one will ever understand others situation unless to take off your shoes, wear their shoes and live with it. Everyone who just drive a car, or ride a motorcycle, or ride a bicycle will ever understand and will be narrow minded to get the benefit of themselves. I wish they would absolve drivers of blame if people cross EDSA jaywalking. It’s unfair because the jaywalkers should not be there and if they choose to ignore the law then they should be liable for the consequences. Implementation of traffic rules SHOULD always be strict. When one makes exceptions people will always expect that they should be given leeway for their violations.
There's no specific "bus lane violation", since it was moved to the inside lane. So it usually goes down as 'disregarding traffic sign' which is P1000. Depending on the exact circumstances, reckless driving is sometimes added too.

Its better that driver license of philippines will put in 10 point system.. minor traffic violation will give 2 point deduction and major traffic violation will give 3 points deduction until..if you spent your 10 points.. license automatically license revoke and need to study again in driving school for new application of driver license.. the same on UAE Dubai.

A professional speaker would correctly gauge the time to their destination and plan enough time to get there.
MMDA should install CATS EYE along the lane to prevent motorist driving along the lane and prevent over lapping the bus lane.

I wish they would absolve drivers of blame if people cross EDSA jaywalking. It’s unfair because the jaywalkers should not be there and if they choose to ignore the law then they should be liable for the consequences. It’s ridiculous how the law moly coddles the perpetrators here and removes any sense of personal responsibility and accountability. FAFO should be the order of the day!

You guys need to increase the penalty of bus lane abusers. Fine them 10k minimum and 20k for succeeding offense. I'm sure no one will even try to get near the bus lane
Its better that driver license of philippines will put in 10 point system.. minor traffic violation will give 2 point deduction and major traffic violation will give 3 points deduction until..if you spent your 10 points.. license automatically license revoke and need to study again in driving school for new application of driver license.. the same on UAE Dubai.
