- I enjoy working with knit fabrics, as they can quickly be turned into comfortable clothes that I can wear everyday. Sewing an elastic hem on knit fabrics can be a bit tricky, but with a right technique the results will be perfect every time! In this technique, I'll show how to sew hem using serger seam and Twin needle, to create mock-cover lock seam.
This video is created in partnership with Organ Needles - needle industry experts.

Twin needle stitching is something that should be taught in all sewing programs in America. In Junior high School, I took sewing classes and the teacher was awful. But when is a novice, we don't know better. I then learned from my Aunt who despite being a quadriplegic sewed beautifully.
I'm able to put the knife down on my serger and create a hem for knits that way. I prefer the cleanness of the twin needle finish.
I Truly appreciate you teaching us self- taught Sewist, How To improve our technique and outcomes 🤗
Thank you so much for encouraging words!❤️
Spray starch is the answer. Use it on knits, flimsy fabrics and complex joins. Have used it for years.

Excellent Julija! You are really a great facilitator making it easy for me to comprehend and implement. Thank you for your videos 💃...
Can you clarify that with this technique you do not need to use stretchy thread also. Just use regular thread and the twin needle made for stretchy fabric. Your teaching technique is very professional. Thanks.
