You might want to buy a spare fuel cap as when I was driving otr after I fueled up ( two 300 gallon fuel tanks I forgot to put the passenger side cap on. Coat roughly $15.00 better to and not need than need and not have. Food for thought.
I believe your rig, single axle with sleeper, is the way to go. Was your truck so equipped at purchase or were you required to change the truck's configuration from tandem axle to single; add the sleeper?
It was a jackalope. But we now have airbrakes and don't use the jackalope. Check out this video out where we changed it. ua-cam.com/video/iCH1mUa_dQA/v-deo.html
Did Greg build your truck to your specs or was this a lucky find with paint to match your DRV, bed conversion and gears in the rear end? Just curious as to the cost if you are comfortable saying. Very nice 👍 set up.
Previous owners of Leroy did all the work (conversion, rear end ratio, smart car set up, paint job, etc.) and had a DRV too. We just got lucky with the color match. We'd rather no disclose the cost. 😁
Do you find it hard to fit in to the state and national parks with a rig this long? I sometimes find manurving on the tiny narrow roads quite restricting even in an un hooked regular sized truck especially when they are densely wooded.
We have not camped at state or national parks yet. Since we have Thousand Trails and Passport America memberships, we usually stay in one of their campgrounds. We have stayed at several Army Corp of Eng parks with no problems fitting into the sites. However, we did have a tight squeeze on a narrow road with a tight turn and our tote was introduced to the fence once. The fence lost. Video on that in the future.
Shooot Karen you ;look good driving the HDT as well, I bet $470 was hard to swallow, the first time. Today was a light day so I binge watched your channel, I feel like fixin something now, hehee
Does the fuel connect switch off automatically? I was waiting for it to spill over, particularly with two going at the same time. Love Leroy - go girl to lady drivers x
OK, the cats out of the bag, what did you buy to assist with potty needs while driving, I drive a lot with my job and that is interesting, not a luggable Loo, right ?
Nicest truck and RV ever. Awesome choice and I have seen and owned a few.
Thanks so much Graham.
Live in truck while traveling, stay in camper, once you get to destination, stay in RV. GREAT SET UP.
We have camped in just the truck before too. :)
Really cool. I love that rig.
Thanks so much. We love it.
Heck, I only get 16 mpg with my Nissan SUV. That is great mileage. You guys really have everything figured out!
Thanks for watching John.
Man those iShifts shift nicely.
Gotta love em.
You will have to look back to see if you still are pulling the fiver! Quite the rig!
You're right, don't even know it's there until you have to make a tight turn and have to watch it in the mirrors.

Very good idea. Thanks James.
You guys are so lucky, it'd be my dream to live like that
We are very blessed to be able to do this. Thanks for watching.
I would love to do a road trip with a Freight Truck RV.
Would be very cool. Hope you get to some day.
@@WattsOnWheels thank you

Thanks so much
Yvw,becareful traveling

It had already been converted when we bought it. The previous owner had it done for their Smart car. We got lucky with the color matching our RV. :)
Nice set up, what kind of brake controller do you have? The truck has air brakes and Trailer is electric.
It was a jackalope. But we now have airbrakes and don't use the jackalope. Check out this video out where we changed it. ua-cam.com/video/iCH1mUa_dQA/v-deo.html
Very cool- bet you need a. Big truck to haul that Fifth wheel. Nice Setup!
Thanks for watching.
Love your DRV home and love your lifestyle - enjoy x.
Thanks Valerie. We are enjoying it. It's a whole new chapter for us.
Wow,,,, what kind of license required just for the truck?
Just a drivers license. No CDL needed as it is registered as a motorhome and no commercial hauling.
Nice looking truck. Looks like a pain to fuel up, with the way the fuel nozzle has to be put in.
A little but of a pain. The real pain is the cost for 300 gallons. :-) But goes a long ways. Get about 10 mph.
Does a 2009 require DEF or any other emission crap?
No, it has a particulate filter that "regens" itself. I think the DEF started in 2010.

BIG SMILE
We had a big smile when we first saw Leroy and Dixie.

Thanks for binge watching us, we appreciate it. I got my projects lined up for the summer. Always something to fix. It's in our DNA.
OMG! Why do you need all that RV when you have Leroy?? My first apartment wasn't that big! LOL Seriously though, awesome!
It's for you and Fred when you come to visit. :)
Does the fuel connect switch off automatically? I was waiting for it to spill over, particularly with two going at the same time. Love Leroy - go girl to lady drivers x
Yes, they will shut off just like at a regular pump for a car. Thanks for watching.
How much does insurance cost? Is it insured as an rv or private truck?
Insured as RV with Safeco, titled as motorhome. About $2500.
I think that truck might be a bit overkill for that trailer....lol and technically depending on weight, you may have to have some type of CDL still.
No CDL required...titled as motorhome...no commercial hauling.
You look good in a HDT Captain Popeye, totally you
Me and Olive Oil. LOL
OK, the cats out of the bag, what did you buy to assist with potty needs while driving, I drive a lot with my job and that is interesting, not a luggable Loo, right ?
Got a porta potty that we have never used. Try to use rest areas and a portable urinal in case of emergency. Wife is like a frigin camel.
Watts On Wheels I’m on the ground laughing, it’s just the reverse with my wife and mother-in-law - I call em tiny tanks
I just love ❤ you'll two.. #OutstandingPowerTeam #Facts 👈🏿👨🏿💻🇺🇲💯👍🏿☝🏿👀..
