- A very intriguing video to a Brilliant song. The beginning of the video shows fragments of "Hunters in the snow", a painting by Pieter Brueghel, Beautifully done. Paul Waaktaar-Savoy still is one of the best songwriters of our time. Such a shame he still isn't fully recognized for all the Brilliant stuff he wrote...
Pål is one of the most brilliant composers in world music. He thinks very differently from Morten and Magne. Perhaps this is its best attribute. But he also understands that the best thing he did was being part of a-ha. And what would a-ha be without him? It would still be a project, a dream, just within the borders of Norway... Or it wouldn't even have existed. Thank you, Pål, for your genius and sensitivity. Long life!
Beautiful melody ♥️♥️
Congratulations for melody ♥️
Thanks for the upload. I wish both a-ha and Savoy had more publicity and got more recognition.
Paul is brilliant! Just think of the all the lyrical majesty from A-HA. I love all the three who contribute to the band's unique sound. Thank you Paul for your contributing your talents and gifts to the world
Love it...I still think Morten truly brings out Paul's writing.
Not that sure, especially on last a-ha albums. It becomes obvious in touring. Paul's voice is more secure, solid, and even melodic. I used to love Morten's voice, but it's not what it was, and Paul's voice deserves his best songwriting.
pauls awesome,i loved seing savoy posters in the train stations while i was following a-ha during the minor earth tour :)
Amazing!! Paul's vocals are so beautiful!! Oddly enough, he reminds me a little of Morrison here...
THIS REMINDS ME of a radiohead video..which is a great thing
i say it everywhere and still not getting tired, this Paul W never needed a-ha, he could be greate alone, is a great songwritter with a good voice, he never needed Magne F or Morten H. to be succesfull, also he could be a greater star if he was brave enough but at last is all his fault,
very cool - so different than A-ha...that's why I like this. The way they had A-ha, I wouldn't want it any other way...I loved them as a group..no one will ever have Morten's voice and it wouldn't be for A-ha if it weren't for Pal's songs...Mags was always sweet on the keyboards...but this is Pal's doing and he's really not bad as a singer himself...just different and I like different =)
Fantastic. Mr. Savoy
I love darkness when it's Pål's darkness 💙
Paul is great
ah thank you!
he has a beautiful voice..
Song about Global warming, so true! You da man Paul!
Ascoltare questo brano e pensare che questo signore è l'autore di Take on me fa comprendere il genio
I so agree..leave the singing to Paul please..Lauren!
Why is the album not on Spotify?!
Now it is!!
@Rickknippers i really can´t understand wat was paul thinking when he wrote that song..how can a singer make a song more justice than morten? ..i really thought that was not a good attitude from pal.
Don't completely agree... The darker songs of A-ha should have been sung by Paul imho. Btw, ever read the lyrics to "Daylights Wasting" from Savoy? "... I had a band of certain fame, the brownstone walk, ups was our name. The singer was fair but got it wrong, he never did justice to my songs. He did more for me and that's a fact but when he went he stabbed me in the back" ...
Pal is the voice of aha..
This video is too deep for me.
if you think of songwritter of his generation, where are the others? remember the cure, they arent making new stuff, neither the U2 guys they are pretty boring, and remember Roland orzabal the guy from tears for fears, where are all of them? paul still remains fresh, while the others became dull,
Absolutely. With the exception of U2's Magnificent
