I’ve watched multiple reactions to this song, but I love this one. I haven’t heard anyone question the relation between the video and the song. He brought an interesting idea to the reaction. And that’s really great.
Personally, I believe he is being portrayed as Cupid, the god of love who famously shoots arrows to make people fall IN love, which would explain the arrow in his back, which is him essentially knowing that falling in love with or getting attached to this girl is emotional suicide, so he tries his best to push her away already knowing that he’s to far gone to not feel it when she leaves.
