Unreal I’m a person like yourself that believes people are genuine and trustworthy.But I have come across people that are absolutely not. I always try to take caution and some people are very believable.The GM said that he paid and the car was paid off and closed out the account.This is a terrible situation for you and I feel terrible and I don’t even know you. I would want someone to be very happy with the vehicle and of course have it go to a person who really wants and loves it.GM should be held responsible and this guy.Your insurance should pay off the car and give you some money. You will take a loss on the modifications.Just terrible I hope it worked out.

Well, the "buyer" is now on the hook for theft, obtaining property under false pretenses, wire and mail fraud, amongst other charges. GM Financial is on the hook now for what they were "paid", as most banks put at least a week hold on anything over 10,000 dollars, for this exact reason.
I hate you are dealing with this man. Unfortunately, if they have popped the GPS out, it's probably been chopped up by now. I know that's not what you want to hear.
