A review of Barkly Homestead Roadhouse & Accommodation. Barkly Homestead is one of the remotest roadhouses in Australia. Nestled on the Barkly Highway in Australia's Northern Territory this roadhouse is an oasis of comfort in an arid outback landscape.
There is a range of accommodation available including cabins, motel rooms and powered and unpowered camp sites. There is an on-site restaurant, bar and pool to cool off in after a long journey.

The map of how big the homestead is was amazing! I saw the sign to Alice Springs, where I've always wanted to visit since I saw one of my favorite movies ever, "A Town Like Alice" back in the 80's. But that seems out of the way for anyone traveling from one coast to the other. It's so isolated in this area that this homestead ust get a lot of business!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. :) We were supposed to go to Alice Springs this trip but Covid cases in South Australia changed our plans. Hopefully we will get to visit Alice Springs on the way back to our home state of Queensland. :)
