I almost fell off my chair when he said 'oh, Christ, I'm sorry. I couldn't get it in." The next scene where he's laughing, you just "know" someone made a sex joke out of that apology:)
This may not be the best place to request it, but could someone with the equipment, patience time, and the episodes, please put together a collage of ALL of the VttBotS Doorway Scenes?????
My God! I was so in love with David Hedison what a gorgeous guy, I still think he is hot sadly no longer with us but gone to join his best friend Roger Moore and Richard of course.
True, I saw an interview where Irwin Allen made it a point to create an air of seriouness and suspense. They thought that comedy and lightheartedness would dull the mounting air of suspense and uneasiness they wanted the show to have
David Hedison said of Irwin Allen that he was always having arguments with him about how serious every thing was and wanted to do some light relief but Allen was having none of it.
Another promising series in the 60's that very quickly went to hell... Just like Lost in Space this series went total nonsense and into a 'B' grade mode with stupid scripts and crazy monsters and became unbelievable!
I agree I loved the first season it was incredible serious plots good character interactions impressive sets and real filming locations not to mention a minimum of cheesey effects and then they went color
@@chrisc1553 there were plenty of monsters and ridiculous stories in season 1. True they ramped them up season 2. But there were still plenty of excellent episodes season 2.

When I was four, I wanted a model of the sub. My dad bought me a Styrofoam floating device, and, said, "here you go".
Thank you Irwin Allen. My childhood contained a lot of cheese.

Richard Basehart looked great at age 50 - still so sexy. Great, great actor.
These are better than the Star Trek bloopers.
I think so too

@Google User Totally agree and that smile WOW! x
Its VERY rare to see Basehart and Hedison smile, on THAT program they're always taken all that nonsense seriously.

Other than a couple little laughs, it looked like a lot of times this set was just miserable to work on.
He made a movie about the (Satin Bug)
That had to be a strictly business set... you'd expect at least one of the bloopers to be funny.
well, it is. what are you complaining about?
It was nice to see and hear the cast and crew get to laugh. That set must have been depressing to work on.😢😢 4:41
