Hey, another great, and well timed video-I’m finally trying to rebuild my 1966 core support. These F100s all seem to rot badly at the base of the core support. As soon as I get mine back from the blaster I’ll try to fab up new metal for the rotten areas. If I goof it up I’ll order an aftermarket like you did. Keep up the great work!
Hi Patrick! They certainly do have a habit of rotting away! The design allows for water to pool in serval areas and mine was in really rough shape. I considered trying to repair it at one point (due to supply issues), but the bottom 1/3 of it was pretty far gone, and I didn’t feel like investing that much time and effort when the new ones are “only” $400CDN Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
I am getting antsy to get after the Crew Cab! Waiting for shop to be completed then move in and dismantle everything! Kinda excited and at the same time, daunting task, Thankfully not first rodeo and I do enjoy doing the task! And the best part when finished have kewl truck again! Rare, paid for and Nice! That always a winner! Do you drive your Chevy as a daily?
It’s always daunting at first, but it’s fun! I wish I could daily these, but there is too much salt on the roads in the winter and too many tourists who don’t know how to drive in the summer. They are evening & weekend cruisers 😎
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 Yes Salt is not good for our Babies! Not one dent in my crew cab but salt environment took it's toll on lots of areas, Yet whatever I put into it is more valuable to me than something Late model. All my kids were raised with my trucks and cars and they are in line every time I want to say goodbye to something I pray daily for Fossil fuel to be available for many years. Can you imagine the United States and the Live of cars here going Battery?????? That takes more Fossil to produce the damn things. I l love my Gas motor rubber burning stuff. Hope all is well with you! Wanting to start on truck and you tube, along with a Kewl antique boat I have! It's on you tube I think. I am learning how to do the whole thing and gonna try and set up in next couple months not good at video and editing etc. Dumb Ass bout that stuff, But sure can build and restore about anything, been my hobby and business all my life. Hope your toys are smiling! And God Blesses you and yours
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 I can send you some pics of some of my toys, still have my first! 34 ford pickup Super super Sweet. Use to daily it but can't stop anywhere and not get a crowd! The pickups are almost as bad. I just make sure to get fuel late evenings etc. Hate being rude to people, they are just vehicles to me but I understand, because I have kept all my stuff, and kids have gotten what I get rid of. Newest vehicle I have is 2000 expedition with 339k it's been with every family member and grandkids too.
From what I’ve been told; that is indeed the case. This one fit surprisingly well. I’ve had bad luck with repro stuff in the past! Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the comment Brandon! I’m a Ford guy at heart, but I have always loved the 67-72 (as well as the square body) C-10’s…. and just about anything Chevy put out from the Mid 50’s right through to the late 70’s. They had some of the best styling of the Big 3 during that time period in my opinion! Something about this bumpside spoke to me. I think it’s gonna be a pretty cool cruiser when it’s done! Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 I agree the 67-72 c10 body styles are just extremely hard to beat in the looks department. But the bumpside fords are really sweet aswell I have a 72. Also have a 69 C10 shortbed and a 67 C10
Thanks Tony! I say give me either one of them over the overpriced plastic junk they are selling these days! These old girls may not have all the creature comforts, but they have a personality and a soul to them that todays vehicles never will come close to! The Ford definitely seems to be the fan favourite! I think it will become my fav once it hits the road! Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻

Just got a new Champion 4-core rad for my '68 Ford F-100. Looking forward to installing!!
@@scottboettcher you won’t regret it! Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
@ are you planning on doing more videos? I hope so.
@ not with the F-100… it has gone to a new home unfortunately.
Thanks for the video , plan on pulling BBF and did not want to lift 700+ lbs over that support again. Slip it out forward . Keep nosy neighbors quiet.
Great idea! Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻

Where did you get your core support from?
Through a local supplier-Canadian Classic Auto supply. They deal with multiple US vendors!
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 Thanks for the reply. I've had two so far that don't fit right. I'm starting to think they are all made by the same company.

What radiator do you have in it and is it 3 core or 4??
Hi Jesse! It’s a Champion 3 core. Check out one of our early videos for more info!
