I tried ace and went back to venture, 100% for aesthetic and favorite era nostalgia. The ace trucks felt smoother than any other truck I’ve skated, for sure.
I'm watching older vid for begginers, and gotta say: watching you guys do easy stuff on helmet in front of everybody makes me grow some balls to learn and dont care about other people think. tx
yep, if you tighten them even a little they bulge over the bottom washer and then the edge of the washer slices the bushing like George showed in the review. Why not just put a slightly larger washer on there? I realize I could myself but I shouldn't have to.
I'm afraid I'm falling out of skating... With a new job comes low levels of energy, even on my days off, and I don't have the drive to go skate... But watching you skate at parks in my area (Queens, BKLYN) does give me some inspiration to get out there... Liking the Music in this ep. also. MY SON THE DOCTOR will be checked out.
I got aces had them a month and they’ve worn down quite quick but they feel so much nicer in every aspect to me, they turn nicer and definitely grind smoother. Aces are definitely what I’ll be skating from now on they are overall just nicer than indies
Also a big fan of Ace, some dudes at Middlefield who had incredible style told me to check out Ace after my Indys finally started to show their age. Been hooked ever since, first set up with Aces was in 2017 and haven’t gone back
That bushing issue with Indy bushings hardening in winter can be solved by using their super soft aftermarket bushings (white colour). Also, i do think i remember that Ace's truck design is actually an old Indy design (stage 4?) that owner of Ace sort of bought out. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I got some Aces recently and I couldn't get used to the weight. You'd think they would be lighter than an indy standard but theyre basically the same weight. I'm coming off skating indy titaniums and thunder standards w/ forged base plates for years so that extra like 40g per truck is huge. It lowers my board control and endurance my legs get tired way quicker. I wish they made a forged baseplate or tintanium axle version cos they're a dope ride otherwise.
Thank you for the review. Just have to share my opinion on the point of the bushings. At least for me, coming from DH longboard, you almost never use the stock bushings that the trucks come with, so I think that is not very relevant because you can always switch them after.😊
8:07 hey George I think you forgot the text over the Ace trucks but you remembered the sound. No biggie. But I love the editing you did on the rail sesh. That was dope.
great video george! i wanna see u get that kicky pivot fakie man. love my classic 66s and my af1 77s and af1 55s. ace rules man they feel so good when turning and carving especially cause i love my trucks super loose
@@maxpiasecki5674 I have 66 classic on my cruiser board and 66 af1 on my Winkowski and the carving feels similar but I do like the way the af1 bushings feel compared to the classic.
I'm not surprised you like the Ace trucks. They're basically copies of Independent trucks anyway. Even the more recent ones (yes, even despite being more sleek or rounded in some ways, not saying they are 1:1 copies). Both brands come from China. And I'm pretty sure they roll out of the same factory actually. Not knocking Ace trucks at all. Just saying I'm not surprised they are a decent choice. I haven't tried Indy's or Ace's yet, but eventually might try them. At the moment though, I think I prefer pretty lightweight trucks. I might swap my Thunder 148 hollow lights for Tensor Mag Lite TENs on my 8.25" setup. But it's unfortunate the Tensors aren't flawless. It's really easy to bust up the axle nuts where the wheels go and the thread underneath. Not saying my other Tensor trucks are damaged beyond repair already, but I had to rethread one of the axles already which never happened with my Venture trucks. It's all very subjective stuff in the end though. I know people who swear by Mini Logo trucks. And if their boards or 95a wheels are anything to go by, it's probably good stuff too.
Well since the dawn of civilization Indies are everyone's go-to but there are good brands around. ACE seem to be awesome and aesthetically appealing. I Will get My pair if this galloping inflation does not crush me down

The old Ace 44s are 8.35 wide. The new Ace AF1 44s are 8.25 wide.
I back this 1000% - ACE trucks rule. I rode Indy's for about 10 years, made the switch recently.
watching george poulos’s video > doing english work during class
IM ACTUALLY IN ENGLISH RIGHT NOW TOO

ACE AF1’s are the Cadillac of trucks.
They turn LUXURIOUSLY.
i love ace trucks. how they look-FIRE. how they grind-FIRE. BUT THE BUSHINGS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO TIGHTEN
Loose trucks save lives

@@justinamaral8642 nah they take lives lol. damn near died from the wheel bite from the AF1s with stock marshmallows
Just skate thunders there way better

I'm riding ace myself and can confirm, they do be trucks, grind on things and turn!
Wasn’t George sponsored by Fortune, why is he riding a revive deck?
hmm yeah maybe he’ll speak about it
Ran out of boreds? Maybe didn't get his boreds in time?

I'm on hollow indys right now, this opened my eyes. I too, like the look of the aces over the indys.
That’s cuz it’s a Indy design

Ace are my favs
Love you George
Thank you George!♡
I'm stuck between my independent forged hollows and venture 5.8 hi. They both work amazing for different board dementions.
Watching this knowing I have ace trucks
FUN FACT ABOUT ACE: alot of skaters who ride for indy secretly use ace trucks.
love your vids homie you and matt are def my fav youtube skaters
Im currently skating Ventures but ill have to grab a pair of aces once these guys are done
I really wanted to get a set of Ace's, but I couldn't find the AF1's in stock, so I went with Indy hollows.

dude you'll love the new ace AF1's they are phenomenal!
Wait you’re 6’2? Do you feel like that makes skating harder? I heard it’s harder for us tall folk
Love ur vids bro! Ceep up the good work :).
Yeah bro so good from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
The ace 44’s are 8.38 not 8.25 (the new ace AF1 44’s are 8.25 though)
Lovvvveeeee ace as well. You’re the best George!
Loving these videos♥️
Heal fast bro. Just got back to skating after breaking my leg back in august.
Crushed it again George!

“They are trucks” - George Poulos 2021
Lol I should totally make a 15 second meme truck review video where this is all I say
Now try the Film trucks
(the slappy trucks)
The ace classics 44s are 8.35 inches not 8.25
My thunders are getting pretty dang worn... And I get paid tomorrow. ;)

bro ace trucks are the best. they dont get to my country but i love them. thanks for doing this review, now i love them more XD
Songs are lit
I think I’ll buy me tomorrow my first pair of ace trucks at my local skate shop
What did you think of the grind on the aces vs indy's? i felt like metal is a little softer on the Aces which felt really smooth on grinds
Nice skate edit
i get so hyped when he uploads hahah
I love Ace trucks 💞
Hope the foots feeling better George another banger of a video as all ways 😁
Aahh the Ace. So much hype. So much love for my thunders❤😂
I've had mine for 3 years >_< mind you they're damn near gonna snap.
@@freshbud6113 I don't even wanna skate the same trucks for 3 years. How dio you not grind all the way to your baseplate🤣
these are good budget trucks
As a bowl rider Ace af1 all the dang way

Got two pairs 44&55 they turn great and the grinds are very nice 🤙 heal up quick
So why not just replace the bushings on the Indy trucks? The ace do look sick though
I personally like thunder trucks
what song is playing as he's skating 6:12
WHY NO FOURTUNE BOARD?
What state is this? That park looks amazing in the beginning of the video. I want to skate it 😂, whats the park name?
Try Venture trucks
