These are fantastic tutorials. I was really overwhelmed when I first got this device, but you’ve really helped me. Thanks very much! Cheers from Australia
Thanks Tube Digga! Your videos are a blessing. The manual doesn't really explain a lot of how the features work. I own a DJS-1000 and all of your videos on it have helped me. FYI M.TEMP stands for Master Tempo.
Shannon Simmons It is much less deep than the MPC but in a good way - it’s simplicity allows you to be decisive and get stuff finished. I love it! My beloved MPC Live is getting a bit jealous :)
hi mate wonder i you could help me out, im using my djs 1000 in ableton i can get the both to talk to each other and play and start etc but i have no record midi option on the channel and i cant seem to get any input coming in through the channel ? i have the djs 1ooo set up with the midi usb and its showing up in ableton and i have selected them on. ableton is stopping and starting the djs 100 no problems but not showing input, no record option and no monitor yet you can hear the patterns playing on the djs all in sync with the ableton any help grateful thanks mate
dj wicked white-label Will dj wicked white-label Will I’m afraid I can’t provide support for several devices and all the settings required to get them working together. If I can’t see how you have it all set up it’s difficult - there’s too many variables. You’re welcome to book a Skype session with me and I will most likely solve the issue but it’s not something I can do on here going back and forth as you may understand
Thank you for the reply.I saw a video where the djs 1000 froze after a long session.I hope pioneer fixed this because I am really interested in this sampler.
I really didn't like the SP-16 from the short time i had it on loan, it was pale in comparison to the DJS1000 and i don't have much to say about it. DJS1000 on it's own would be fine and less bother than managing two machines. I only had the 1000 for a few months on loan from Pioneer DJ, but hope they have continued to add new features as it had a lot of potential
WOW this video has made my head explode with the possibilities of this machine...so disregarded by the non DJ electronic music scene...could I ask you what your honest opinion is of the dj 1000 stacked up in the current market with my own weapon of choice the analog rhythm mk2 and other obvious choices like the mpc live? what strikes me most is how instantly accessible this machine is...also could you possibly do a video with drones or more experimental jam on this as there is NOTHING out there!!! Many thanks for the videos and your superb clear and easy to follow tutorials...BRAVO ;-]
Thanks for your nice comment. I don't own the DJS1000, Pioneer loaned it to me for several months and I returned it. It's a nice machine but I'm not sure how far Pioneer DJ will develop the OS. The Akai Force and MPC One features are far more advanced overall so I'd look in to those - the Live is also great but I don't like it physically. The DJS is good for drones - please check these videos: ua-cam.com/video/ZYaxmmxfx6s/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/lncDaHReIOs/v-deo.html
can you real time stretch any pad individually without it having to sync to the master tempo ?? If the master tempo was say 100 BPM, stretching a pad to 95 in real time??
rorz999 I never owned it, Pioneer DJ loaned it to me for a coupe of months. I would have kept it if I could, I liked it a lot. It’s very limited in comparison to an MPC, but in a way I really appreciated its relative simplicity.

Thank-you so much for sharing. I'm waiting for mine to arrive, and looking for any ideas that I can get. This is so helpful.

Many Thanx for these vids ! I was hesitating between Mpc and the DJS. I 'm leaning more on the Pioneer I guess at this time
Thank you so much for the inside. I recieved mine with a manual in a different language.
Thanks for your time, straight to the point & clear!
Thankyou so much for doing these videos. The djs is just like a woman very complex
Does the DJS1000 have pad banks? Or is it just 1 bank of 16 (so you’d have to use hot slice for 16x16)? Thanks
thank you this was very helpful indeed!
Creative work TD! I can tell you are diggin this machines practical workflow.

Thank you for the video's,they are very good! I had a lot of bug issues with the mpc live, how stable is the djs 1000?
Perfect so far, absolutely no issues at all :)

Hello i would like to use on my traktor with my xone96 possible ?
Thanks
Thierry
Sorry I no longer have the DJS, it was on a short term loan from Pioneer DJ.
Does the DJS 1000 have a song mode? Or is this only on the SP16?
I can’t remember now, I only had the unit for a few months and had to return it to Pioneer
Thanks for your videos 🙏🏻 I think that coupled with the SP-16 it can be a good combo... No ?👍🏻

Man, I wanted to hear a real bass guitar baseline over those drums. Those drums sound simply superb. Factory sounds?
Shannon Simmons No, breakbeat sample from my own library
thanks
If i could use the dj pitch fader for samples i would invest
El Morto Beats Hip Hop Beats I thought you could?
can it do freeze and slice ?
Inter RaciAL I don’t know what freeze is, it can slice though and is a great feature.
it chops beats up within a slice within the selected loop at ne size
