The Prestige 500 Fybridge sits at the elite end of the Jeanneau brand and while you may think that this European production boat builder isn't for you, boatadvice journalist Dom Wiseman has a different opinion on the French company. The beauty of such a large company producing many hundreds of boats is that they've seen it all and as a result have become extremely adept at not only providing what people want but also building quality boats with little of the problems associated with newer less experienced builders. Will they are production run, the options are still varied enough to satisfy the most picky of owner.
The Prestige 500 Flybridge is a born entertainer from the expansive flybridge to the generous aft deck and the spacious saloon. All areas are bathed in sunlight and have all the entertainment facilities you could imagine. Boatadvice believe this boat will be more than at home hitting the local harbour, but will revel in extended cruising up and down the coast. The 3 room, 2 bathroom layout is ingenious in that unlike many boats in this class, Jeanneau have created a main bedroom that is separated from the guest quarters and uses the full beam of the boat to create a light filled sanctuary. Located at the rear of the boat, the main cabin features tonnes of space, ensuite bathroom with separate shower and toilet and a writing desk.
The guest cabins are both located at the bow and share a bathroom. Upstairs, the main saloon is spacious and also makes exemplary use of the natural light leaving it feeling warm and spacious throughout. A sofa area rear of the helm provides more entertaining space while the galley is fully functional and includes all your home appliances.
The Prestige 500 Flybridge also includes a brilliant tender garage accessed via a lifting hatch below the rear lounge. This garage is an option and can be turned into an additional cabin or storage area. Perfect for the born entertainer, the Prestige 500 Flybridge is a cost effective proposition with many standard inclusions other builders would have as options.

With the advent of moderate artificial intelligence abilities, imagine a competent autopilot that can safely sail you at any course, including into ports while avoiding any disasters. No need for crew on board. Slow sailing all through the night if desired. Seeing storms coming, everything. Good opportunity for yacht builders to be first with that.

Nice review however, it's a cabin not a bedroom, a head not a bathroom and 'down below' not down stairs...
