Hi from Jamaica 🇯🇲. Same here we cannot use the square reader for payments. However the organizers usually have a system in place where customers can make card payments and then charge us a percentage on each sale. Hope that makes sense. I do enjoy your videos.
I absolutely love your videos! It's really nice to see someone doing markets in New Zealand. I'm in Dunedin and I started doing markets around June and I've been doing them every month since. It's defiantly a unique experience doing markets in NZ, it looks quite different to all the overseas vlogs. Your improved set up is looking really cute as well. I just love your aesthetic! 💕
Yay! Hello from the north fellow kiwi 🥝 😀 Yes I find the vlogs for markets overseas to be a bit different compared to here. The experience here in NZ has been lovely and due to where we are certain things sell better than others which is fascinating compared to eg - America. Glad to see more kiwis getting into this. We just need a bit of info and a push. Thank you so much! I love my little stall
The stickers are super cute! I love seeing creativity from other plushie artist as well ^^ im glad that you are enjoying the process~ You have my support as well :)
Just found your channel and liked and subscribed. I am in the US and do only a few small local craft shows a year. I make greeting cards and other paper crafting goodies. As I work, I have been binge watching videos like yours to try to think of other and better ways to display what i make. My husband thinks my "crap" shows are a waste of time. But, like you, I enjoy what I do and as long as I make the cost of my table and a little extra so I can buy more supplies to keep crafting, I am happy. Best of luck
Awww no time spent doing something that makes you happy is a waste of time. Thank you for the comment! I hope you continue to create and enjoy your craft
Your packaging and tagging is lovely!! I’m getting ready for a market here in the USA 🇺🇸 and needing to get ideas on that kind of stuff. That definitely takes more time than people think but it makes a big impact on sales!
Hi glad to see a kiwi vlog . I have been doing crochet market since July. I am in a small town in the South Island. I would be interested in hearing how others price there work. I design my own hats. And currently making flowers, bees for the summer and plan on a Christmas theme stall. I would be interested in the prices of the stall fees. Keep up the good work.
Hello from the north 🤗. I find alot of people start off under pricing their work and as we get a feel for things we get better at our craft and then our prices increase and level out. Pricing by time spent is hard for me as I say because I'm not keeping track of time and the breaks I have, so I price by material and quality. If it feels like a lot of effort has been put in and I can't imagine making another one very quickly then the price is higher like my duck at $50 or cow plush at $65. Low effort things like my keychains can go for much cheaper at $10 - $20. It's hard figuring out your pricing. Timing my craft just doesn't cut it for me but you have to feel your way through it I guess
Yay, finally an NZ crochet channel :D I live in NZ myself and only just started crocheting this month. I keep seeing all these chunky yarn other crocheters in other countries use, but I have not had so much luck finding anything fluffy in my local Spotlight or Knit World x: where do you get your yarn? I LOVE the little pumpkins!
Most of my yarn is from spotlight altho I have dappled in Flock of Knitters and Craft Haven. Spotlight has just started stocking blanket yarn again which I'm thrilled about otherwise I found some *chenille* yarn at flock of knitters online which comes in a chunky form! They have the best line of colors I have been able to find in NZ so far for this plush yarn type. Glad to see another kiwi 🥝 🙌 thank you and take care 🙂
I found it at spotlight NZ. Just happened to be the perfect length and the right colors for me. Dark table cloths are good for outlining products but I love a bright set up
Ive been crocheting for 2 almost 3 months and I need TIPS! I have dived head first into amigurumi and love it. but I have no clue how to start markets, get display items on a budget etc. Ive also got social anxiety but really want to put my work out there. Any tips would be appreciated Im in Auckland if that helps? 😅
For display stuff you can get alot of this at dollar stores, hospice etc. I love Uncle Bill's and a bit of Daiso 😊. Stylish crates made of wood are great for stacking things in or on top of. Can use plastic crates and a plank of wood to create a shelf. There's alot of budget friendly ideas. Kinda got to think of what look or aesthetic you want to have 🤷♀️ You can have darker table cloth to show off how colorful your amigurumi is or you could go brighter like myself for a softer vibe. Theres so many options! As for the social anxiety, I feel ya. I used to have it down bad but retail experience has trained me up good. I think always bring a friend or two and if one of them has retail experience or is outgoing then I would want them at my side for support and watch them and how they interact with possible customers 👍
I just found you tonight and I’ve already subscribed! I’m from Australia and love to see the same stores over there and someone close by-ishhh doing markets! My first one is next weekend! Love your cute crochet keyrings and products you’re very talented!🌸 I was just wondering if you don’t mind sharing where you got the little wooden triangle shelf from 💜 much love Katrina @strawberrydesignco
Hello from over the ditch 👋 Yes same here! It's always good to see people closer to home watching my vids. It's nice to connect with so many people ☺ thank you so much! As for the little shelf I did end up buying it from temu but safely. I know their site isn't 100% safe so I used afterpay to get a couple things for my table set up.
I love your prep videos theyre so calming and organized! :)

Hiya 🤗 that's a nice way to do things! I guess every market is different with different ways things are organized for convenience.

I feel like $40 for your quality bags is absolutely CRIMINAL !! $50-$60 is how I see them as an intermediate-ish crocheter
Yes I have raised my prices now 😄. It's still early days here in the video when I was doing markets and it can be hard finding a good price point

I was wondering if Paypal or Cash app isn't an option for you.
Cash app no but from all angles pay pal I believe is the only one that could be a viable option. I need to look into it further
Hey I just wanted to ask how u price your items
Usually by what I'm comfortable selling them as while also including the cost of materials. It's hard to price by time for me.
Thank you so much❤
Who's pumpkin pattern?
It's in the description but it's by youtuber Erica Ardnt
