This is actually one of the best phones I have had, because there were tons of games and apps worth playing and the design was beautiful and tough.
I miss this phone. So beautiful.
This is one of my best phone that i ever had.. the camera was great, sound was perfect and when i bought this i got many plugs inside the box..
How do you get the apps to show on the home screen. And the calendar notes/reminders to show up on the home screen?

how do i send muic to my nokia 6500? i kno about the nokia pc suite thing but whenever i download a song or w/e it doesnt come up in the options to send to my nokia slide. please help :) or tell me how you get music onto your nokia 6500

@Athrunwong So true... how many phones have stainless steel covers now? I have it for 3,5 years and it still work, besides some problems with slow web.
It has so much steel that beeping sound is heard when i go through security checks.
Just dropped one of these tonight... :-(( upper left corner partly scratched away. Is there a way to replace the black top plastic part? (I am especially worried because it's not MY phone.)

Hi there. How is the sound quality of the phone when u put the headfones on. Also are there equalisers? Can u watch videos in landscape mode and hows the file manager? Overall how is the phone? Im deciding between this and nokia N78. Plz help

Good review! I'm currently using this phone.. Bought it abt a month ago.. No problems with it so far.. I love it.. And I especially love the camera.. The only downside is that the speaker is at the back of the phone..

Svilen Konac I dont know how to change brightness, but otherwise software is pretty customizable for that time, but it isn't Symbian

Well... i was 13 when i got mine so i dont see why not!!! But i recomend a silicon slide cover !!! it helps, trust me!!!

Different production line uses different parts (including different batteries, I have the silver one and its battery is good though)

I have this phone and it's FULL of buigs and defects! It's a nice phone but messes up the WHOLE time! I've had it replaced 3 times but it just keeps freezing, stopping the music or deleting the wallpaper!! anyone else have these problems with thiers?

I My dad just gave me this phone and the number pad buttons are all scratched up because of the slider and the back cover doesn't fit properly. This means that often the phone can't tell that the micro SD card is inserted, which is very annoying. I do however love the look and feel (especially the weight) of the phone. A definate upgrade, even if a little worn out, from my old nokia 6280. I love these slider phones :)
The phone's own webbrowser is rather basic and the pre-installed Opera Browser was outdated. But if you install a decent Opera Version (4.2?), you get a quite suitable browser.
The best part is the censors which adjusts brightness auromatically. ! wow

its good at first yeah but then like a year later, it starts getting fucked up (plz excuse my language). you can't access the memory card unless you put an elastic band (or hair band) around it.
The real phone.....simple....reliable.....and you can drop it dozens of times.....
and will never dies.....
that was my first mobile i got in 2008 and we are in decembre 2011,nearly 2012 and it is still working.i've thrown it several time and it was not even damage

6500c is thiner and smaller ,but also has smaller display . 6500s has bigger display but it's bigger. 6500c have 1gb internal memory,no memory card support , 6500s supports memory card. =) so depends what you like.

No, its not a smartphone. It has got Nokia's "Series 40" system which is not even oldest operating system called "symbian" even though it worked and works great.
It was one of the best phones I have ever had. It has a better (Carl Zeiss) camera than 80% of today's smartphones when it comes to photos. Videos were average. Mine bought in early 2008 still works.

i think the 6500 slide is better because:
its nokia, a long lasting phone
it supports up to 4gb of memory card (very good ram) while the LG supports 2gb
and---
i think the lg has one camera while the 6500 has 2

secret slid down the phone asks to lock. immediately press the camera at the side of the volume that camera. lock will still be there and press lock immediately and the phone will be locked keypad it will bo on the CAMERA !!

phone shops.. but best buy it online any descent online store such as ebuyer sell them. On another not this phone is awesome i got one with a 2gb upgraded in all black aluminium.

Don't get neither of them! take my word for it. my mate bought u700, after a week or so the screen got shattered without dropping the phone!! it's really thin... the u600 is also a very slow response phone!

i have this not realli that gd, i had 2 send it away 4 times, kept turning of 4 no reason , the little rubber bit came of and cus its a slide fone all the buttons all the numbers and letters r all gettin hard 2 c. plus the quality of video is dreadful. if i had the choice again i wudnt buy this fone.

For a 12 yo? I suggest you get an expressmusic phone instead of this. This phone is like more geared towards business people who need more of a simplier featured phone but still looks professional..
