I am glad that your FXT wasn’t flooded. My brother in law FXT was flooded and totaled.
Damn sorry to hear that. Thankfully I have an angled driveway
Great video my 2013 XT has 120.000 on the clock now had it a year not happy with its handling maybe i will do what you have demonstrated get rid of factory set up thanks for sharing champ
nothing beats a smoother ride. unless you are on a perfect track, you'll actually have more road contact and better handles. less vibration = less electrical issues too. good stuff.
Damn right. On zero damping it's butter and on stiffer it handles nicely
@@TheHumanCarJack but quieter exhaust, higher ride height, it's like the 'becoming your parents' commercials haha
Yeah it's terrifying
I have the Mann Engineering springs and I love them. Although my front does make squishy sounds 😂 may need to upgrade to these eventually. Great video!
Thanks! Don't forget to use the discount code for 6% off!
How low are you able to go with the coilovers? Also how low did you go?
Ever experience any driveline wobble after the lift?
Hi…I also live in Queens and wondering if you know which dealership has the best service dept? And any independent technicians that specializes in Subarus?
how much for your coils since i have your old intercooler too lol
Haha $250 + shipping
What were your dampening settings for the BC coilovers? I live in NY as well and just got BCs on my XT
For daily use I kept em at 0 both front & rear
Did those Avid1 Wheels you had need spacers or hub centric rings? And if you lower your car with coil overs, do you need a new alignment or anything?
Hub centric rings only and yes, always get an alignment when adjusting ride height
have you had to buy certain items for your forester that were listed only as 2015+ wrx? I'm building a '15 xt and have noticed lots of items shared with the other fa20 that are only explicitly marked as a wrx product, and I feel like most of them would work fine on a forester...?
Yes lots of wrx parts fit our cars without listing the FXTs as compatible vehicles
@@TheHumanCarJack dude I still don’t even know if the exhausts would match up. I know the mid pipes from the WRX and STI both work, but noticed Nameless has a separate axle back for the XT. Then you got people on forums saying that they bought WRX catbacks and that they bolted right up, and others saying they won’t without some modification.
@@rwelsher1911only modification you need is to get longer hangers the exhaust, general rule of thumb, as long as it's same era Forester and WRX/sti it should boly right up. I have a 2011 Forester with 2016 nameless axlebacks and it fits, just 20° rotated without the proper midpipe.
manual swap?
question how high can you go or are they the size of the original
Can't say exact tbh
What is the correct cvt fluid for the FXT? Looks like it's only available in 5 gallon quantities.
The high torque CVT fluid offered by Subaru
@@TheHumanCarJackSOA748V0200 anywhere sell smaller quantities?
No but you can bring em an empty container and see if they'd be nice enough to fill you up
@@TheHumanCarJack indeed.
Quick question… sport or sport#. And paddle shift vs cvt action
I personally prefer S# with the paddles
@@TheHumanCarJack I ask because the majority online seem to say auto in sport is faster than sport# because it doesn’t simulate gears. I have been switching between the modes and paddles from day to day to try and find what works best
Day to day definitely S mode is better but during hard driving S# because of the faster torque response
@@TheHumanCarJack that’s definitely the way it feels. Especially around town and when you want that immediate power. 0-60 and quarter mile times have been recorded faster with sport auto because the cvt holds peak power band instead of “shifting” but sport# with paddles it’s definitely much more fun to drive. I really miss driving stick lol
How much power and torque is it making mate?
Also how's the cvt holding up?
Current map is 295whp/250tq. CVT is doing well at the moment
@@TheHumanCarJack stock cvt?
