“This journey is about Christ and having a relationship with Him. It’s not about improving yourself. Improvement is a result of abiding in Christ, because Christ is better than us, so if we become more like Him then naturally we will be improving, but it’s not about that because improvement may not be consistent in your life.” Thank you Brother
Amen brother, I highly recommend you find some fellowship with local people who are extremely devout for Jesus and have been on their journey longer. Iron sharpens iron. Praying and meditating on the Bible everyday is key to keeping that relationship strong. God bless you!!
My brother in Christ, thank you for this message. I am 13 and a half and I been on self improvement. I need to learn that God is number one, and I need to keep my way pure. For His sake. You did really well illustrating your thoughts, much respect and gratitude. God bless you.
Much blessings for you as well brotha. Glad to see someone so young taking their faith and self improvement to the next level. Keep grinding, but also remember you’re still extremely young so you’ll make plenty of mistakes so don’t be too hard on yourself.
This video really spoke to me. I've suffered from depression and anxiety for around a decade now, and completely isolated myself from everyone and everything for most of that time, not seeing or speaking to anyone. It's been less than 2 weeks since I turned to Christ, and most of the time is me praying for God to make me better, so I could start living my life again, go to church and find a community, but it was almost all for my benefit, not because it was the right thing to do. This really opened my eyes to how selfish I've been, and I think God put this video in my feed for that reason, so thank you.
Amen brother! Glad you found your way home, and glad my video could help. Just remember though don’t feel bad about seeking the Lord for help though because God wants to heal you. Keep serving Him and serving others as He commanded us and keep growing strong in your faith. God bless you brotha 🫡
Title is very misleading. God changes and improves the lives of many. YES, use God for self improvement, how else do you think you can improve, without Him?!
I 100% agree that God changes us and cause us to improve. The point I’m trying to make is that we shouldn’t use God or Christianity as a tool for “self help / improvement”. Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and improvement will come naturally because of that. We won’t always be improving or changing even though that’s the goal. Sometimes we might even regress, but it’s still important to follow God regardless. Our faith shouldn’t be dependent upon improvement (even though that can help). It should depend on who God is. Thanks for the insightful comment brother and God bless! 🙏🏽
@@kaydin64 it's crazy how Jesus lead me today to read the book of Jobs specifically... you're totally right, we need to put our trust regardless of what we consider is "self improvement" or not... I admit I'm the first one that when I don't see things with clarity I get anxious and my faith towards Jesus drops a little, when I started with the journey Jesus used to give me lots of signs to proove himself to me, now I think he's testing my faith and I have to be faithful to him
@@kaydin64this was still misleading. You should not take advantage of God but God does want you to use HIM ALONE for everything you struggle with. Your faith is either lacking or you’re confusing many people. Be careful. God doesn’t want us to rely on ourselves AT ALL. He wants us to rely on Him. And that means giving up control and trusting Him with all things and not assuming we know better ways to improve. God healed me from all my issues with prayer and reading the Bible and listening to him in his perfect timing by learning from mistakes as well. Not therapy, not self help books. God alone.

I’m definitely understanding you! I keep saying I’m so glad that me strengthening my relationship with Christ is from me realizing that he had always been looking out for me through the good AND the bad experiences and that he really cares in mysterious ways that we don’t always understand until we make it to the next stages in our lives🙏🏾✝️
Love this brother! Been stuck in a self-improvement cycle lately even though I know it won't save me. Jesus has already done that. No matter how much we improve it's Christ that makes us righteouss not our works or how far we go to improve ourselves.
Your pastor gave wise advice. This video gave me a lift. The world's definition of self improvement and God's definition of self improvement may be two different concepts. The world expects tangible results. God loves us unconditionally even if we feel our efforts to grow closer to Him seem fruitless to us.
This is spot on. The exact same thing I was discussing with fellow believers today. There is a fear and condemnation based view of God in many Christians lives. Something that I've struggled with. Doing good things to get God's favor and because we're "supposed to." That's what I feel like many Christians do. Which turns into a works based relationship with God. His love doesn't require me to do anything. There's nothing I can do anyway! I want to do right and love because God dwells in me. Not because "it's the right thing to do." He first loved us, our love and obedience is just an after effect of HIS LOVE! Thanks for this video ❤
It’s so easy to get into that “bubble” of trends. And you forget that this is REAL. it’s THE TRUTH. If we can’t stop watching screens, a good serie reminding me of the realness of this truth is definitely ‘the Chosen’. I understand what you say, and I think God guided me here. I’ve been trying to fix myself these past days and started idolizing self improvement AGAIN, instead of just look at Jesus. Thank you for this video!
Fully agree with you glad I watched this video even thought I was sceptical, Thank you for the enlightening message, God Bless you in The Mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen
I love this bro thank you. I feel like a lot of people need to hear this word and that we aren't doing this for our own gain but rather because we love JESUS. He paid it all to have relationship with us and we have an obligation to honor him with our lives and seek relationship with him that is pure and good. We need to understand more that this is a lifestyle not a trend and its not something that we turn on or off based on the people we are around. thanks for sharing this!
Amen. Amazing Video, Brother. I just got to your account so unexpectedly. You spoke so helpful. Brother keep running the race to which Christ called us. Christ-focused self Improvement, thats the key because without Christ, there really is no self Improvement.
Thank you for this…I am crying typying this because it’s been so hard because I ‘feel’ like I haven’t been improving but regressing but thanks for the reminder to keep seeking Jesus no matter how hard it gets. God will❤ I had to repeat this a number of times Thank you!
Hey everyone i recently seen the lion of judah through sunlight a week before my bday. So you know how the sunlight comes through your window.. so that happened an I was able to look through the sunlight and seen a lions fur moving through the shape of the sun. But less than a second later the lion of Judah was in front of me, I was able to feel his presence it was so peaceful.. no words can explain the feeling. But the lions fur was like a golden sunlight color.. but Jesus was speaking to my mind and he was telling me to spread the message of what I experienced.. i also think he want all of us to repent to him and have a connection with him and a relationship.. but to also pray to him.. i have 7 testimonies... i think i have a calling on my life.. i'll make a video on it
this is the issue I have in my life I want to improve myself a few and many years ago I stopped going to church I didn't feel safe at the church and too much confusion back then I thought to myself that why all these bad things happened to me and those people in the church are too judgemental so TLDR in my current situation I started trusting in God, Jesus and Holy Spirit again through some Christian channel and even using some of the method from Islamic due to too much mental illness issue, and many bad things I nearly/almost left Christianity, now I started restoring my faith again
@ArthasHastingsMenethil - as ambassadors for Christ we would like to share the gospel of our salvation in the dispensation of God's grace. “Grace can be defined as the undeserved favor of God for people who deserve His condemnation.” God does not hold sins against us because they have already been paid for (every sin for every person.) Christ was made to be everyone's-every-sin (2 Corinthians 5:21). However, full reconciliation is not achieved until an individual "reconciles himself" to God (2 Corinthians 5:20). This happens upon belief of the gospel of our salvation. All humanity is forgiven but not all believe it. Being forgiven does not equal being saved, salvation comes by faith. Salvation is appropriated by faith, forgiveness of sins is NOT. Your sins were forgiven regardless of your belief. God did not need your faith at Calvary, He only needed His Son. SALVATION is only gained by trusting Christ - via belief in the word of truth (the gospel of our salvation.) Salvation IS by works, just not our own. It is not of ourselves, but through the gift of God's grace that we are saved. Upon HEARING the gospel, if we BELIEVE the gospel, we are sealed with the holy Spirit of promise unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14). A lost soul can only be saved by trusting Christ to have done everything necessary for our salvation though His finished cross-work. Romans thru Philemon are the only books in the bible that explain salvation for today. In those books we find salvation is by faith alone, in Christ alone, without-any-works-of-any-kind-at-anytime. Christ died for your sins, and has risen for your justification (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) Put your faith in what He did rather than what you have done, are doing, or are going to do. Salvation is not getting-your-sins-forgiven, it's believing they already are. (2 Corinthians 5:19) And as ambassadors for Christ, we would also like to refer you to Truth Time Radio, also on UA-cam and Facebook, they are happy to help you better understand your Bible and better express your faith to others. Have a blessed day with insight, wisdom and discernment!
Very good video bro, God bless you and keep going. Trying to be a Christian is like trying to purify the golden nugget in each of us but in putting ourselves in the fire, everything that is not gold will burn away and it hurts. But we just got to try to reach our true form.
Thank you for this I am am not going to lie, but the title made me confused at first but now I know! Thank you for this message God bless you in Jesus name, amen!
Remember, you got to put your oxygen mask on before you put anybody else's on. It's perfectly fine to get something out of your religion. You just got to do something good with what you have.
Everyday is a new day closer to perfection (Heaven). Everyday is an opportunity of a level of growth and improvement through the Holy Spirit. If you aren’t dependent on the Holy Spirit. Might as well be Buddah. There will always be understanding in the Bible, but the grasp of the Lord happens when you go off Fathers will. So I truly do believe and always will be that I have self improvement everyday no matter how small the step. That’s what it’s like having a Heavenly Father
I generally agree with what you’re saying. The trajectory of our lives as followers of God is improvement, but there will be moments of regression or moments where we slip up. They will become less frequent but never entirely gone. In those moments we must still follow the Lord though.
Ay bro I get where you’re coming from, we should spread Jesus names through any means necessary and we shouldn’t use Christ for something like edits and views. May God be with you brother
Putting yourself in God’s hand will definitely create improvements in your life. People who come with humble hearts to God. See, God sees our hearts and He knows the intentions behind them. Only people with unencumbered hearts receive the TRUE FAVOR and GRACE of God. Take a look at this list I created below as a reference to this. (note: notice how these people were chosen by God not otherwise): Joseph: From being sold into slavery, he became a key leader in Egypt. David: Initially a shepherd, he became a significant king of Israel. Moses: Despite being a shepherd, God used him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Gideon: A seemingly insignificant farmer, he was chosen by God to deliver Israel from its enemies. Ruth: A Moabite widow who became a key figure in the lineage of Jesus. Peter: A fisherman who became a central figure among Jesus’ disciples. Paul (formerly Saul): Initially a persecutor of Christians, he became one of the most influential apostles. Esther: A Jewish orphan who became a queen and played a crucial role in saving her people. Zacchaeus: A tax collector who transformed into a generous follower of Jesus. The narratives in the Bible highlight God’s capacity to lift people from humble or challenging situations, elevating them to significant positions through their faith and obedience. So, does God improve the life of His people? HE DOES! Even if you want to “stay the same” you won’t be able to escape His plans for you, but of course that will only happen if you stick to God’s absolute will; this is when many fail. Now remember: the main and absolute goal is to attain the reward of eternal life and be able to see our Lord face to face. Be sure to love your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength more than anything or anyone else. But, one way or another…there will be improvements for sure! Just don’t let that be the reason of why you’re seeking God. Luke 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” God bless you!
@@kaydin64 exactly man I 100% get you I struggle understanding what it truly means to “have a relationship with god” through Jesus Christ we can but what does that feel like? How can you know if he knows you? Always love to learn to also spread the word
A relationship with the Father looks a little different for everyone I’d say, but you can tell if you have one if you start to show the fruits of the spirit more as it says in Galatians. I recommend you look into that.
@@kaydin64 ok thank you so much, it’s really hard to forgive narcissists that’s what I struggle with right now Very hard not to get angry at such people, we all have our on journey and again I thank you I’ll read into it because of you
Please give me advice. Im a young girl but i sin alot, i lie, i cuss, and i have a bad temper. I really want to follow God, but im afraid i only follow God just to get to heaven and self improvement. I overthink alot and i keep falling into tempations. I have ocd and autism which make me have instrusive thoughts. Please help me :( i want to have more faith in God.
Hey, thanks for reaching out and being honest and vulnerable. I’m not a medical professional so I don’t know how to deal with medical mental health issues, so I all I can say with that is pray and seek professional help. In terms of you sinning a lot, focus on what causes you to sin and cut it out from your life. I used to sin a lot in terms of lust / adultery, so I cut out pornography and certain shows from my life (Matthew 5:29-32). Also make sure to strength yourself with the word, pray, and meditate on God’s word often (Joshua 1:8) (Matthew 26:41). Also remember that if you fall short / sin again, don’t worry about it too much. Ask for forgiveness, repent (turn away from it), and keep moving (Proverbs 24:16). Transformation likely won’t happen instantly and will likely be a process. Don’t be discouraged for Christ can do all things!
As a Christian, self-improvement is not the goal, it's complete transformation. As it says in scripture, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means dying to yourself and being made alive through Christ. You no longer live for yourself, but Christ lives in you. As it says in scripture, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20). The standard of love that we live by is what Christ showed to us when He died for all sinners on the cross. We live by love, because God is love. We live with hope, because God is faithful and works all things out for good. We live by faith, because we are only saved by faith in Jesus Christ, who died and rose again for us to inherit eternal salvation in heaven. We are saved by faith, therefore we live by faith. As it says in scripture, "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works," (Hebrews 10:22-24). Remember, God's word is all the knowledge you need for spiritual victory! Amen.
i am a bit struggling with this bc i love the thought of self improvement but cant i do self improvement on the points of working out and starting a business ? And ofcourse improving my relationship with God . Can somoene answer to this ? Thankyou God Bless
Great video! Jesus is not just a self help guru who had some good ideas to help you get your life in order, He is God in human flesh and he invites all of us to become his apprentices (disciples) and follow Him. What's the difference? Treating Jesus like a self help guru means you use Him to help with the changes that you want in your life, but you don't need to do everything that He says. The Bible becomes a book on the shelf sitting between Atomic Habits and Extreme Ownership. However, if you take Jesus for who He is, and make him King (Lord) of your life, that means that you need to follow Him - in everything - not just the areas where you already recognize your need. Trust me, if you make Jesus Lord of your life and follow Him in everything, you get to see life as it was designed to be. You will change. You will improve. You will start to look like Jesus!
if i do an oath on God which consists of not gonna pray anymore if i will do bad habits, is it a good thing for improvement? to force me to take only the good action or its inappropriate? because i was faping bad and i did this system. That if i will ever fap again i won't be allow to pray at God which for me this would be a very bad thing because i pray every night since i was 3 years old. Thats how my parents teached me (i really need your answer if you can). God bless you
Don’t do that brother. Seek the Lord in your time of need. Don’t think that prayer is a reward for good actions. It’s our communication with the Lord and is necessary for our lives. My advice to beat this addiction is to keep praying and abiding in Lord while exercising self control. Again do not turn away from the Lord in your time of need and don’t make an oath to God saying that you won’t pray if you fall.
Ive been struggling with lust recently, Ive set up all these preventatives such as passwords on certain apps etc, and I consciously know its terrible for my connection with God but I still find some way to fail. At this point idk what to do or what God is trying to show me. I always get back up but whats the point if I fail a couple days later
“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity.” Proverbs 24:16 NJKV Keep going brother and don’t give up. Sanctification is a process and improvement isn’t always linear. “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Mark 14:38 NJKV Continue to be on your toes and pray to God to deliver you brother!! Keep fighting the good fight!!
You're not battling anything we all don't battle with brother. This is every mans battle of sin with lust and porn, etc. Jesus will deliver us. I truly believe that. We have to just get back up and go to the cross every time we stumble. Jesus forgave us. He already sees us white as snow like the Bible says so we may be dead to this sin that trips all of us men up. He understands the temptation. He is a Good God that forgives. Keep your head up brother. This is ever mans battle. You're not alone.
Have not watched the video yet, so I will update as I see what you are saying. However, coming from self improvement and not finding true satisfaction from it, I can say this: from your thumbnail, you are trying to say that God should not be used as a tool. And you are right to say God is not a tool. From that point, God should not be boxed into a certain criteria to meet our standards, when the Gospel calls us to live up to His perfect will, which brings blessings to our life Parting from that, God's holy name shouldn't be used as a tool, cuz that comprises one of the Ten Commandments. Still, the Gospels _can_ be used to promote a succesful living, which is the essence of what we know as self improvement. So from that, I say yes: God is our means to imrpove our life, as long as we keep in mind that it is about what He does for us, and how the blood of Christ transforms us. Edit: agreed. Christ isn't a way to live in the same way self improvement is a mere way to live and see life. Far from it: Christ is the way. The Scripture says to turn our sights to the kingdom and all its justice, and everything else should be added. I do believe Christ is self improvement, but not in the same way that the world wants to portray it, where its all about your own glory, cuz the glory is and forever will be to the Father
Good video! I'm not religious, but I was curious as to what the pastor really said? Did he expand in the moment, did you question the confusing statement at that point, or is this video more of a summarization of what he did say and less of a revelation afterwards? Asking friendlyly lol
We did expand on the idea more in our conversation and in the video I’m summing up the conversation while also adding in my own “revelation” from after the fact. Glad you enjoyed the video and God bless!
Christianity is not a religion because it does not involve humanity’s attempt to reach God, but rather God’s attempt to reach humanity. Christianity is centered on a personal relationship between a creator God and His human creation. It’s about a loving God who initiates the relationship by revealing who He is to His human creation by coming to us in the person of Jesus. Through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus a person is given the way to become acceptable to God who is holy and experience the true meaning for their life. The final payment for the world's sins was made! Did you know that Heaven is a free gift from God? Billions of people go to bed every night wondering if they have been “good enough” to go to heaven. There is no need to live in fear and doubt. Jesus taught that you can “know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” There are many passages in the Bible that teach the truth about Heaven being a free gift from God because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, not by our own good works. One of the most clear and important passages is from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians: Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Most people think that Heaven is a riddle which can never be solved. This is not true! The Bible is very clear about how you get to Heaven, and how it comes by faith in Jesus Christ, not by trusting in our own good works. We are living in the dispensation of the grace of God, by believing and trusting the gospel of salvation (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) given to our Apostle Paul by Jesus Christ you are saved and sealed with the holy Spirit of promise till the day of redemption!!! Ephesians 1:13 - King James Version 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Romans 2:16 - King James Version 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (Paul's Gospel - 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1-4). As ambassadors for Christ, we would also like to refer you to Truth Time Radio, also on UA-cam and Facebook, they are happy to help you better understand your Bible and better express your faith to others. Have a blessed day with insight, wisdom and discernment!
Repentance is turning from sin to God. It cancels shame. Shame says to runaway and hide from God, but repentance says to run towards and be vulnerable to God.
@@GKnightent it surely is, because when we abide in him, like a branch abides in a vine (John 15: 4-5), we naturally produce good works (productivity), like how a branch naturally produces fruit by receiving nutrients from the vine. Repentance allows us to get closer to God, and the closer you are to the power source, the more fruit one bears, and the quicker it will be produced.
I kind of disagree about not using God for self improvement. I've seen Christians go full circle on these kinds of ideas. I agree its not a cheap fad like other fads, its a commitment. I can tell you it absolutely will not work if you treat it like a fad. Also improved includes suffering too.
I agree paul says less of me more of Him. God does change lives but we can allow ourselves to become an idol theough that self help, name it claim it, and seeker movements that Christianity has taken on thats sending peopl to hell. God is good if we are blessed with good health and money and self improvement, and God is good and holy amd Just and merciful whem we suffer and experience loss and pain. Jesus is coming back. Aloowing Jesus to be used for self help should only deflect away from ourselves and magnify Him. Unfortunately in our culture today Jesus is used as a way to make out lives "better" instead praising and worshiping a Holy loving and merciful God in every season. We could all learn alot from Paul and Job and Jesus Himslef instead of the worldly "pastors" amd self help gurus of todays lost society.
I don't know what your pastor was on about, but you don't want to idol worship by separating who you want to be from who God wants you to be. Christ is the way, and the Holy Ghost lives through us, and its all connected. God shouldn't be "a tool" in the slang sense, but will be your instrument, amen, and will give you self improvement if you need it through your love and submission. Ask and it shall be answered. Christ needs us to want to self-improve through Him. It is crazy to separate your higher self from God. "Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward." - 2 John 1:8 "Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent." - Revelation 3:19 "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end." - Hebrews 6:10-11
I agree. We will improve through God, but we shouldn’t idolize it and we shouldn’t follow God solely because of those things. Our walk with God will be full of suffering, difficulties, and even regression, but it’s still important to serve the Lord even if in the moment we aren’t improving or at least might not seem like it. I’m unsure about what you mean in regards to separating who I want to be from who God wants me to be because I want the same thing as God and that’s to be more like His son. Thanks for your input and God bless!!
the title is blasphemy, u should edit it, i know u are doing this to farm views. its not right. this is against god's word. god literally commanded us to be Christ like.
@@kaydin64 idk how u defined as "self improvement", if u mean WORLDY self improvement about selfish "SELF", then yes. if you mean ACTUAL self improvement, like developing the fruits of the spirits of God "love, joy, peace, etc", then the title is blasphemy. because it is through the holy spirit and God's grace, and individual's faith and spiritual journey, that one actually SELF IMPROVE. source: bible figures that god used, i dont have all the names, but if u read the bible, he often times use many people that are not what we might think is even a "gold standard" by societal measures. SELF improvement should ALWAYS be strived for. its excellence; it is godly and holy; it is to be Christ like and to learn about what true love is actually, not the love people just say and talk about. the love of selflessness, justice, righteousness, and forgiveness even to people that hurt you or others DEEPLY to the point whereby people are traumatized or dead even. easier said than done. but thats actual self improvement. the bible stated to tell us to clearly RELY on God, to DENY ourselves, truly he told us to deny ourselves. for those that doesnt, are just gonna be prideful and boastful, and even if they say "lord lord", the lord will deny knowing them. for they did not deny themselves. well. not here to put you down anyway. god bless brother. im sure you are pointing out the Pharisee which are self focused, TOO ZEALOUS and missed the point of actual self improvement. following stupid strict rules, yet forget about basic human decency such as kindness and forgiving etc.
Yeah in the video I’m talking about self improvement from a wordy perspective like we see online. Of course we will improve through the Holy Spirit. It’s more like we shouldn’t use God as a trend, fad, or “self help” in the worldly sense of things. True improvement comes from Him alone. Thanks for your input brother and God bless. 🙏🏽
Dude, you and your pastor who told you that is wrong. Read anywhere in Scripture, you will find that what you are saying is contradictory to Scripture. He isn't a butler or genie, but yes God in fact improves you and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. If you believe and fully walk in His way, HE IS THE ROCK IN WHICH WE PLACE OUR SALVATION. You really need to better clarify what you are saying because that title is wrong. You should say something about hypocrite Christians, which is what you are talking about.
That doesn't make any sense, did he die so he no longer had a soul ON? then how did he take action? the definition of the dead is basically the one who can no longer take actions by himself, who rised him then? What sort of logic are you trying to deceive yourself with? @@pizzinhadelivirinha

Improvement is a result of abiding in Christ, because Christ is better than us, so if we become more like Him then naturally we will be improving, but it’s not about that because improvement may not be consistent in your life.”

I am taking my first significant steps on my walk with God, life is just so much harder, but so much more peaceful.
I definitely feel you brother, but we must still hold fast to our faith!!

Yep same
Title is very misleading.
You too! I appreciate your well articulated response. It’s the life after this that matters most of all, I agree. ❤
God alone.
He meant not to become a Christian for the sole purpose of self-improvement.
Remember we don’t receive eternal life because of anything we do,
Don’t think that the change of life is what saves you.
so how do we get eternal life without changing our ways?? (genuine question)

Your pastor gave wise advice. This video gave me a lift. The world's definition of self improvement and God's definition of self improvement may be two different concepts. The world expects tangible results. God loves us unconditionally even if we feel our efforts to grow closer to Him seem fruitless to us.
Agreed, God is a person whom we should cherish our relationship with and not take for granted.
Thank you brother keep doing what god says to you and don't lose faith
Same to you bro!
Amen!
That is just what God is for to improve ourselves for His Glory.

@ArthasHastingsMenethil - as ambassadors for Christ we would like to share the gospel of our salvation in the dispensation of God's grace. “Grace can be defined as the undeserved favor of God for people who deserve His condemnation.”
God does not hold sins against us because they have already been paid for (every sin for every person.) Christ was made to be everyone's-every-sin (2 Corinthians 5:21).
(2 Corinthians 5:19)
And as ambassadors for Christ, we would also like to refer you to Truth Time Radio, also on UA-cam and Facebook, they are happy to help you better understand your Bible and better express your faith to others.
Have a blessed day with insight, wisdom and discernment!
Congratulations to me? Ty Jesus

Remember, you got to put your oxygen mask on before you put anybody else's on. It's perfectly fine to get something out of your religion. You just got to do something good with what you have.
Of course improvement comes with becoming Christian, but it’s about so much more than that.
✝✝✝✝

(note: notice how these people were chosen by God not otherwise):
Joseph: From being sold into slavery, he became a key leader in Egypt.
Luke 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
God bless you!
God bless you too brother!! 🙏🏽
In Jesus Name use God to better your bond with him and to become the best version of who he wants you to be instead of who we want to be.

Amen.
He said the challenges won't stop but he will give you strength Amen bro.

There’s nothing wrong with self improvement as long as God is first in your life and it doesn’t become an idol.

From that point, God should not be boxed into a certain criteria to meet our standards, when the Gospel calls us to live up to His perfect will, which brings blessings to our life
Parting from that, God's holy name shouldn't be used as a tool, cuz that comprises one of the Ten Commandments.
The devil really just prevented me from going to a great university... Bucknell, the right one from me 😔
Sorry to hear that brotha. Wishing you the best and God bless!!

Amen 🙏🏽
With as much love as possible, brother, this title is misleading. God bless❤
I see what you’re saying
Jesus taught that you can “know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
There are many passages in the Bible that teach the truth about Heaven being a free gift from God because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, not by our own good works. One of the most clear and important passages is from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians:
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Most people think that Heaven is a riddle which can never be solved.
Ephesians 1:13 - King James Version
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Romans 2:16 - King James Version
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
What the point to repent then. Just curious.
I’m not sure what you mean in relation to the video?
Repentance is turning from sin to God. It cancels shame. Shame says to runaway and hide from God, but repentance says to run towards and be vulnerable to God.
@vanessawilfrose Right repentance is a God version of self improvement
Good point
question tho: do we follow christ or do we worship him also?
Both
So basically, don’t fake being a Christ follower.
What’s the story about your flag ?
It’s for the college I go to
@@kaydin64 thanks for your reply you mean your college has its own flag? I love God and vexillology 🔥
Nice man that’s pretty cool
Bro, do you think that I should become a Christian?
Of course brotha!
Yeahhhhh. Whoever told you that was VERY MISLEADING. And then you were left to come up with your own conclusion, of what they meant.
What’s misleading about what I said?
I don't know what your pastor was on about, but you don't want to idol worship by separating who you want to be from who God wants you to be. Christ is the way, and the Holy Ghost lives through us, and its all connected. God shouldn't be "a tool" in the slang sense, but will be your instrument, amen, and will give you self improvement if you need it through your love and submission. Ask and it shall be answered. Christ needs us to want to self-improve through Him. It is crazy to separate your higher self from God.
"Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward." - 2 John 1:8
"Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent." - Revelation 3:19
"For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
My guy, Christianity IS a trend! Anything that a bunch of people are doing can be considered a trend
lol I see what you’re saying
the title is blasphemy, u should edit it, i know u are doing this to farm views. its not right. this is against god's word. god literally commanded us to be Christ like.
Interesting point 🤔
Yes, God does improve us and we should seek Him for that improvement, but Christianity is more than improvement and self help.
Andrew Tate, lol
🤨
@@kaydin64 his religion somewhat align with his ideology, unlike me, imma christian because i love jesus christ
Your god died, wake up, GOD shouldn't DIE, God shall be IMMORTAL
He is risen!! 🙏🏽
Yeah, Jesus died. But he also Ressurected. My god died and defeated death, then ressurected.
That doesn't make any sense, did he die so he no longer had a soul ON? then how did he take action? the definition of the dead is basically the one who can no longer take actions by himself, who rised him then?
What sort of logic are you trying to deceive yourself with?
@@pizzinhadelivirinha
God can do what ever he wants
So can he not create himself as a human an come to earth?
