- [this video was taped BEFORE the breakdown] I think I found my "NEW" favorite exhaust --- the SC Project CR-T exhaust. Not only does it weigh next to NOTHING (1.7lbs) but it also sounds absolutely incredible! We also got to install the Rizoma Stealth Mirrors and they are super sleek and aerodynamic looking. A little difficult to get used to but you get used to them real quick. Enjoy this first impression ride video of my Aprilia RSV4... The spicy Italian meatball!

I was thinking about your starting issue from the previous video. And I think there may be a simple fix....
It might be a gear sensor misalignment issue. Bike has to be "Neutral" for it to start, correct?
When you said the first time it wouldn't start- you shifted the gears up and down, then it restarted
That leads me to believe that even tho the TFT dash is showing "Neutral", it may not be communicating that correctly to the ECU. So the start button will be dead.
I think the first time you shifted up/down- that may have caused the gear sensor to realign with "actual" Neutral, and communicate that correctly with the ECU.
Have you tried shifting up to 6th, then back down to "N" and tried restarting again?

That exhaust sounds great! I had the same reaction when I started my CBR1000RR for the first time after I installed my M4 exhaust. It was so loud compared to stock! Hope the bike gets up and running again soon!

A question, If we don't remove the servo motor and leave it just like that. Is it going to give an error?
Hi, I don't see the gas gauge on the cluster. Does it have one?
So is this the same scenario on the mirrors for the RS660, you only get the front turn signals back with the Race ECU or UP Map? The reason I am holding off on the Rizomas is that very reason, besides, how are you going to pass your state inspection with no front turn signals?
Bikes don’t need inspection in CA. But yes, same scenario.
did u have to add a servo buddy (servo eliminator) when installing the exhaust? or did u leave the servo motor in? I bought the exhaust, just wondering if I need anything else for my installation
I kept the servo intact but it’s getting removed and replaced with a S-buddy.

Question - do the mirrors remain usable above , say 6K revs or do they vibrate? My stock RS660 mirrors are pretty much useless above 6K. Thank you.

Have you already done the upmap or installed the race ECU? I'm definitely gonna need the CRT for my Tuono! Sounds amazing! Hopefully you get to enjoy it once the RSV4 gets out of the shop. Cheers
I have not. Am avoiding it completely because dealer/Aprilia will find an excuse to void warranty and as a result of what’s going on with the bike, I’m gonna wait it out. I mean come on… 217hp not enough? Lol..
@@PetroHead it isn't about more power its about the engine running properly thou. When you dropped the catalyst which is incorporated in the factory muffler the ECU needs to be tuned for air/fuel ratio reasons(lean conditions). Lean conditions can grenade the engine and believe me the manufacturer won't cover that either lol. Something to look into. I believe if you ha e Aprilla tune it you can still be covered under warranty.

haha... it really is but it sounds mean and aggressive just the way the bike should sound.

RSV4 is not a daily type bike. Get an R3 or N400 for daily.

@@PetroHead if you start putting carbon after market parts on your bike, might wonna think about swapping the stock wheels for carbon ones..
Are the stock ones forged or aluminum cast🤔… I think only the rsv4 factory has forged wheels? Not really sure though..

I thought your Aprilia was out of commission? You should have saved that money and sold off the bike before it breaks down on you again. Pass it off to the next sucker. Hahaha. Nothing against you, I just detest Italian bikes (or cars for that matter).

@@PetroHead Well then.... what's the update on your bike? Those people at Aprilia are giving you the runaround, huh I bet. Probably even blaming you (like they always do) to get out of warranty work.
