I worked so hard to lose weight after my 4th son was born. It took 2 years to lose 78lbs, and I was doing fantastic and keeping it off…until I got covid in August. I don’t know why, but I have been gaining weight since I got covid. I’m a long hauler too. I still exercise daily and do everything I was doing before. I’m so sick of this! I want from 145 to 162 in 7 months and it’s so freaking depressing. Long haul Covid totally screwed up my entire life!!
I go hiking 4 miles a day, 5 days a week for the past 3 years. I eat about 1500 calories a day, no thyroid problems and not diabetic. And I still keep gaining weight. what's going on here?
@Marie I hear ya, I don't understand what's going on here. All this work, time and effort we put in and somehow, something isn't working. I wonder what it is

I stopped using a medication that I thought caused this weight gain but ive been off of it since April and I'm still gaining weight. I have not changed eating or exercise habits. I had s blood test done and do not have thyroid or diabetes issues. I am stumped and I hate looking in thr mirror.

Walking has helped my weight tremoundously but the heat has been too much lately and a long flu for two weeks i been back to square one!!! 😟😟 also some visual migraines..
I'm 264 pounds male, and work 6 hours cutting sparagus in a 85 degree weather. I sweat like crazy and the funny thing is that instead of of losing weight I'm gaining. I only eat three times a day and I think I take a 1800 calorie intake. I take anti depressants and went to the doctor, he told me medication doesn't make you gain weight. I'm so confused I don't know why I am not losing weight.

Dr. I was 113 last year before the pandemic, and went up y to 118. All ok only 5 pounds however within 3 months I have gained 15 pounds now being 129. Not only that I feel much thicker too and no matter what I do the weight if not going anywhere. I'm am so depressed that I no longer want to get in a scale and see more and more gain but I can feel it. Please help😔

I do alot of walking. It does help.. but i have to do it alot. Hours! But I am medicated for hypothyroidism and low testosterone. So maybe that stuff even being treated still makes weight loss hard even when trying to run as well.😐😐😐😐😐😟

What type of Corticosteroids? Do they have to be oral? Can it be inhalers or topical?
I was hoping it was Menopause. But then as I was watching this, I began having those “oh so familiar cramps!”🙄 That’s one is off the checklist! Lol
I did the exercise and gained 3 pounds in 2 days. I tried 6000, 10000 and 15000 steps I gained
1/2 pound, 2 and 3 in one week. I don't try anymore I'm almost overweight I ate 1500 and should have maintained I didn't. I gained 3 in
2 days. I'm at the last size in the UK and I used to be a size 6. I'm not one bit happy. I counted calories I increases walking to 90 minutes and gained on 1500 a day. I've knee pain and osteoporosis. It's not good enough. I cut my sugar and salt in half and gained faster than I ever did in my life. Walking more steps made it worse so I'm back to none. I'm.already suffering from undiagnosed headache issue and taking the last size hurts I'm in the mens section as it didn't fit i tried on a size 22. Dunno what that is in the US. I did this over time. I've very thick thighs. Its not the size I'm worried about it's the fact I will ultimately be overweight. Maybe it's the stress of counting causing water retention. Running helped but I was gaining way faster over time and had to give it up.
Muscle weight and fat weight is different remember that walking all thst much is strength in ur muscle
I stopped drinking pop for 6 months but didnt notice a change in weight. But then again it may have made me snack more lol

Over the past weeks I’ve gained so much weight but I’ve actually leaned down too. I’ve been working out almost 6 days at most per week and I’ve gained some weight but seem leaner
I've been trying to gain weight for years. At 5'7" I'm only 104.2 lbs. And this is using medication and special diets to gain weight. My weekly food budget is $250-$300 usd. I eat around 8-10k Calories a day. I exercise regularly and my job as a janitor has a lot of manual labour. I don't drive so I have to walk everywhere. I recently bought a mobility scooter to cut down on energy expenditure. Idk what else to do?

@@MajdMD what about the book called revisting diabetes it said when you increase your carbs intake and decrease your fat intqke that will reverse your diabetes and then also explain duranrider too you can't because I gone over 30 hour of medical advice tough these week alone and it said when you increase carbs intake it will no doubt reverse diabetes

May I suggest a nutritionist? They can do tests to confirm any signs of an hormonal issue.
I workout, eat healthy, and have lost fat overall, but my weight never goes down
I heard someone say you need a diet break by taking a break from your diet while still working out (still eat healthy) then go back to the diet

In exact same situation & despite efforts can’t succeed with IMF because after 14-16 hrs fast , I get hypo, start shaking & sweating. I have tried 10-12 but no amount of leafy salad will help unless I start chewing carbohydrates as last measure. I really want to get ride if my pregnant belly. I have severe FM and ME so exercise extremely hard. I have a complex hereditary issues with diabetes type 2, hyper cortisol over 20 years hence fibromyalgia and ME. I really need help

If u need thyroid meds. It will not activate shit... I had to take my medication before I saw weightloss hair growth etc even as minimum im on 50mcg very basic when you get on

Thanks to Oxycodone tablets I have put a fair bit of weight on this past year. I promised myself I would get back to a healthy weight asap and in these past 3 months I have dropped weight like no tomorrow. Ugh it sucks being pretty attractive and yet I tend to struggle with my weight. I'm sooo proud of how much weight I have lost though! Finally I am back to a stick thin weight 🤓 yay to being 24 years old, glamourous and thin again. It doesn't help that I feel like a literal fridge at my heaviest. Lots of skipping meals and strict, strict dieting and vaping. I'm at the point I'm practically vegan and although I know I can go back to a regular diet I am so, so sick of my weight yo-yo-ing. At the point I'm considering staying vegan and very healthy In the weight department
So happy for something that is not about racial unrest.

@@MajdMD I am happy to say that was the only thing I needed from your video. I started on a LCHF diet in December, and have continued to lose weight in the lockdown and my friend challenged me to climb Everest using my stairs, so I weigh less and am fitter than I have been for years.

@@MajdMD Dr Majd, maybe you can answer a question I have. 5 years ago I weighed 72kg and my waist (nurse measured) was 68.5cm. Now I am 68kg but my waist is stubbornly stuck at 73cm. In between was a period of obesity, a waist > 90cm and - you guessed it, I bet - menopause. My question is, is my thicker waist an inevitability with aging, or is it possible to get back to my premenopause waist? Google isn't helping. Don't worry, my BMI is 24, I'm not at risk of doing anything crazy.
