It's a danger to everyone, too. If bodily autonomy isn't a right everyone has, it's not a right anyone possesses. What stops the State from then, say, deciding that random people's organs should be harvested for transplant patients in the name of "life" (a problem far more easily solved by moving from "opt-in" to "opt-out" organ-donation systems, but I digress)? What then stops someone like Ron DeSantis from realizing that getting political opponents or their loved ones mysteriously moved-up that "harvest" list is a real effective way of stifling dissent? Sounds crazy, I know, but there's nothing stopping such a move, and Lord knows someone like DeSantis isn't likely to suddenly find moral qualms about any method of acquiring or maintaining power.
People think bodily autonomy is "just" a women's issue, when it is, in fact, the right that underlies every other right.
