As a child, my family and I were there as migrant farm workers. We harvest cherries and other fruit in Traverse City and Northport. I'm trying to gather information to share with my children. I believe the farm we were on was owned by the Sherwoods? Any information would be helpful and appreciated.
Love seeing all the small towns!!! I'm not much for big city life! I'm not a camping kind of girl though. I would much rather have room service than sleeping in a tent!! Lol
Is "Cliffs" Drugstore still there? Probably not. My Family and I used to vacation there back in the late 50's to early / mid 60's when the Pere Marquette / C&O had the rail line from Traverse City. I'd like to go back someday and I'm NOT quite sure why. One question I have though, is that I'm trying to find info. on the "old" Gardner estate in Omena. I've been trying to find stuff on this for years, but to no avail. Your thoughts?
