- We started a mobile bar out of a horse trailer. After a year in the books, we closed a lot of events and had some success. We also learned some good lessons.

Looks like the first comment. Thinking of creating a mobile catering horse box business with my mate, good to see the good/bad after year one.
It's a fun business! Saw this comment was from a year ago, did you end up making the jump into the business?
Just start mine built! Just at the graining stage!
good stuff, hope its going well!
Getting ready to start mine what would be the first item to purchase? Would it be better to have the customers supply the alcohol?
I am also just building my mobil bar.....got the horse trailer for free but its in good shape....day two of the build..
I also just started my mobile cocktail van a year ago , i'm going to post some videos about it soon
Exciting stuff!
Hopefully i can get my horse trailer as a bless 🙏
Nice work! It sounds like, in addition to setting up the trailer, you actually run the bar, provide the drinks/supplies and staff it with bartenders. I imagine these activities are what drive most of the risk, stress and challenges.
Do you think the business model would still work if you simply rent the trailer and let the wedding/event planners handle the rest?
It would result in less income but it might also be less stressful.
Yes, we do this as well! there's a lot of people in the FB group that run this business model
Thinking on doing this.. but also to rent out the bar without the service. Have you ever only rented the bar out?
Yes, we rent out the trailer and drop it off from time to time
What size of door did you cut on the bar side? I bought a trailer and not sure how big to make the side bar.
I want to know more about teaming up with a brick and mortar business in order to provide alcohol! :)
Hey brotha glad to hear your killing it!! I had a question, so I’ve been doing a few private events with a table setup like quinces, sweet 16 things like that. I want to be able to buy liquor wholesale in order to maximize profits, did you get any permits or licensing or how do you go about getting your liquor? Thanks brotha!
Thanks for the comment! It really depends on your location, this question is all about state laws. We do have a distributor we buy alcohol from as well as breweries for deals on kegs (and better, local beer as well). Costco also has amazing deals on their Kirkland brand alcohols, really high quality stuff for the $
Hey ! thanks for the video. Did you offer sparkling wine on tap? If so, did you have to use a different faucet? Did you have any trouble dispensing it and maintaining proper carbonation in the glass? Thanks in advance!
we have never done sparkling wine on tap! but that's a great idea
Do you put out a tip jar at the events?
yes!
🎉
Do you need a liquor license for a mobile bar?
depends on your state

I didn't learn anything from this video.
You didn't explain how to price the event or anything useful.
