  • In this video 2 statics problems are presented, both of which have some rotational mechanics/physics involved. One involves a nice force balance with a superposition while the other involves some nice force line concurrences, which are derived from torque. They are both extremely neat, and worth a thought.

    In problem 8 you said at 9:11 that this was a static situation , how? Constant velocity does not mean it can't rotate and have a net torque .Why does the cylinder have no torque?
